After there were gifts in the form of free weapons for some classes in Battlefield 5, Medic players were worried that their class was forgotten. However, there will be something for the Medics at Christmas.
What happened? In Battlefield 5, there are gifts already before Christmas. Since yesterday, players can secure two new weapons. The firearms come from the predecessor Battlefield 1 and are available for all fans.
That’s why Medic players were concerned: Players on Reddit are excited about this gift. The two weapons, the Ribeyerolles 1918 assault rifle and the M1897 shotgun, can only be used by the Assault and Supply classes.

Thus, not all classes benefit from this gift. Especially Medics complained that their class once again does not receive enough love from the developers. In their current arsenal, Medics could really use additional firepower.
This is what the developers say: In a Twitter conversation with a fan, DICE stated that they certainly have not forgotten the Medics. A fan asked there whether there will also be something nice for the Medic at Christmas. After all, other classes have received weapons. However, the Medic is currently left empty-handed.
In response, DICE’s Multiplayer Producer, David Sirland, replied with a brief “Yes :)”

What will the Medics get for Christmas now? This is still unknown. Sirland did not go into further details during the conversation. However, numerous Medic players already have enough of the brief response to look forward eagerly to the gift for their beloved class.
Meanwhile, fans already have their own theories about what they might expect. On one hand, new weapons in the form of SMGs are also expected here. After all, there are still some weapons that were discovered through data mining but are not yet in the game.
However, since Sirland did not explicitly say there would be weapons, fans are also considering new gadgets or even abilities as possibilities. Some even hope for an auto-heal function for nearby allies, as seen in some predecessors of Battlefield 5.
Currently, all of this remains speculation, but the gifts for Medics should not take too long to arrive. Whether there will be something specifically for Recon is still unknown.
What do you think of the gift action in Battlefield 5? What do you think DICE will give to the Medic?
