When does the Spotlight Hour start? The Spotlight Hour on December 2, 2025, starts at 6:00 PM. From then you have 60 minutes until the standard spawns reappear at 7:00 PM.
Which Pokémon will appear? Koknodon is the first star of the Spotlight Hours in December. The Rock-type Pokémon can evolve into Rameidon.
Which bonus is active? You will receive double transfer candies. This means: For each Pokémon you transfer to the Professor, you will receive double the amount of candies and can also get extra candies for Pokémon that are not encountered often.
Is the Spotlight Hour with Koknodon worth it?
How strong is Koknodon? Koknodon itself is not a particularly useful monster, but its evolution Rameidon is!
This is especially true in raids and gyms: There, Rameidon is one of the absolute top attackers of the Rock type. Its Crypto version is even the strongest Rock attacker you can currently play. So make sure to collect plenty of candies for Koknodon during the Spotlight Hour if you already have the Crypto variant to improve it.

Is the bonus worth it? As mentioned, the transfer bonus applies to all Pokémon you transfer – not just Koknodon. So you can get candies for monsters you still need. But remember to keep one specimen!
