What does it cost to play New World?
You need to pay: If you want to play New World, you must first purchase the game. You have the option to buy the Standard Edition or the Deluxe Edition.
- The Standard Edition costs €40 and includes the base game
- The Deluxe Edition costs €50 and offers additional content:
- Forest Person armor design
- Forest Person axe design:
- Dog as a pet in your own house – Your house is unlocked from level 15 in the game.
- Rock/Paper/Scissors emote set: Rock, Paper, Scissors – a nice pastime with friends or a way to make tough decisions.
- Digital art book for New World: A collection of fantastic concept art from the production of New World.

What happens next? After you have added either the Standard or Deluxe Edition of New World to your game library, there are no subscription costs. You can continue playing without spending any additional money.
This might surprise some MMO players, as games like World of Warcraft or Final Fantasy XIV require a subscription beyond the trial period that you pay monthly.
It is possible that in the future, New World will have DLCs that cost extra. However, we will have to wait and see if these will actually be charged. Because games like GTA Online also do not have monthly costs and regularly provide free DLCs for all players.
But I want to buy something – what is there?
These are optional purchases in New World: Those who say they like to spend money and want to spend it on New World can turn to the in-game shop. But don’t worry – there is no pay-to-win.
If you want, you can buy the following content in the shop:

By the year 2022, the shop is expected to remain at least at this extent. Afterwards, it might be possible to also buy boosters in the New World shop.
