Marvel’s Avengers is not likely to run out of content anytime soon. According to a data miner, there are still plenty of upcoming updates in the game, including a first raid that supposedly takes place in Wakanda. There are also hints of more heroes, including variants of existing heroes. This means you might be able to play multiple versions of the same hero in the same team.
This is what the data miner says: Sanders Presents is a data miner who has been digging through the data of the PC beta. During this process, he found some new features and content that is likely still to come to the game. At the start of his presentation, he shows a list of unlockable heroes. Among these, besides the already known heroes, are a number of other well-known Marvel characters that are expected to come:
- Ant-Man
- Captain Marvel
- Black Panther
- Dr. Strange
- Falcon
- Kate Bishop
- Hawkeye
- Mar-Vell
- Mocking Bird
- Scarlet Witch
- She-Hulk
- Vision
- War Machine
- Wasp
- Winter Soldier
Even more exciting than these new characters is the idea that some of these heroes could serve as dopplegangers.
Echo or Doppleganger Heroes – What Could Be Behind It
What are Echo Heroes? An interesting concept that emerges here as an idea from the data miner is the notion of so-called echo heroes. The term comes from the game Smash Bros Ultimate and refers to characters that are very similar and play almost the same.
Since in Marvel’s Avengers each hero can only appear once in a co-op mission, the echo system would be a sensible addition. If She-Hulk were an alternate version of Hulk, you could play her alongside the regular Hulk and then throw the ultimate Hulk party.
The same goes for heroes like Wasp, Mar-Vell, and War Machine, who could each reflect Ant-Man, Captain Marvel, and Iron Man.
Raid Coming After Launch – Is It Going to Wakanda for Black Panther?
Also in the code was a hint about the first raid in Marvel’s Avengers. According to the clues from the code, it is likely to take place in Wakanda. This is the hidden African kingdom of Black Panther, where the wonder metal Vibranium comes from.
