In the latest “Investor Earnings Call,” Blizzard revealed a few more details regarding the future of the company. It is now confirmed: Blizzard is delaying the release of Diablo IV and Overwatch 2. The games will no longer be released before 2023. After the next BlizzCon has already been canceled, this might not come as the biggest surprise.
In the same breath, the new studio co-head Jen Oneal announces that she is leaving Blizzard. Thus, within a year, the three most powerful women at Blizzard have left the company.
New games are far from in sight. Hope now rests on Diablo Immortal, the mobile offshoot of Diablo.
