In Apex Legends, players have come across an interesting change near the island. There are two giant monsters that have now moved for the first time. Fans now suspect a possible event, as Fortnite has done.
What are these monsters? The monsters are 2 leviathans, which are sea monsters. They have been standing off the coast of King’s Canyon since the game began and have not moved until now.
Now player “FrozenFroh” noticed that the two monsters have moved. They are now closer to the shore.
2 Monsters are moving – What does that mean?
What does Respawn say about this? At E3, Respawn gave a first glimpse into the upcoming Season 2. There, a kind of giant dragon was also shown that will likely arrive soon.
It would also make sense that the two monsters might rise from the water and that players will have to fight them.
Could events come regularly? This is quite conceivable. After the first season of Apex Legends didn’t have much exciting content, the second season is supposed to offer a lot more.
It would make sense for Apex to hold such events regularly. After all, such events are very successful and well received with their competitor Fortnite. Respawn might have taken some inspiration from there.
Respawn has also announced map changes in Season 2. These could go hand in hand with such events. This also happens regularly in Fortnite. For example, a volcano destroyed entire cities.
What do players suspect behind this? On Reddit, players can also imagine such live events. For example, Arman275 writes: “It will be like Fortnite, where they also use small events to revise the map.”
User idkjoshidk is excited about this and writes: “Finally a live event!”
When will we know more? Season 2 is scheduled to start on July 2. There, more could be learned about the movements of the monsters.
What do you think? Could these monsters soon play a larger role?
