With a trick in Fortnite, you can play against bots instead of real opponents and win easily. We will show you what you need to do.
What is this trick? Fortnite players have figured out how to manipulate matches so that you only play against bots. For this, you need a second account on a different platform than your main account.
If you primarily play on PC, create a second account for the mobile platform. You only need it to invite your main account into a lobby; you won’t actually play with it.
We will guide you step by step on what you need to do.
- Create a new Fortnite account (you can do that here on Epicgames.com)
- Log into your new account on a platform different from your main account. If your main account is on PC or PS4 / Xbox One, log in with the new account on mobile. This could be on Nintendo Switch or an Android smartphone – Fortnite is no longer available on Apple devices with the latest updates
- Add your main account as a friend on the second account and invite it to a group
- Create a squad lobby with the second account that is not meant to be filled
- Start the match search
- Once you are in a game, exit the match with the second account but stay in the game with your main account
- Now you play against bots in Fortnite with your main account
This is important: You must exit the game with the second account early. Because there you should not earn experience points. As soon as you earn a few experience points with the second account, you will no longer only face bots as opponents.
Not sure if it worked? Here’s how to clearly recognize bots in Fortnite.
Why is this good?
Good for practice: If you haven’t played Fortnite: Battle Royale for a while or are just starting out, you can take your time to explore in bot games.
- The bots are not as “smart” as real opponents can be
- You can explore the map without strong resistance and get familiar with Fortnite
- Because the bots’ reactions are relatively slow, you can easily practice the building mode in Fortnite
In short, you simply have less pressure in these matches and can focus calmly on your gameplay before you face real opponents in “normal” matches again.
Completing challenges: Additionally, you can easier complete the tasks that Fortnite gives you in bot lobbies. This way, you can more easily fill the Battle Pass of Season 4.
It is unclear how aware Epic Games is of this trick and how long this mechanic will still work.
