The focus is on a pillar of flame engulfing the Flying Lamb. The ship breaks apart, and in the anime, it sinks to the ocean floor just a few minutes later. The Straw Hat Pirates are beside it in a small boat, having to watch as their beloved ship is destroyed.
The scene looks as if it is only one chapter out of many. The base of the figure is a book, with its open pages made of resin water. The girlfriend is considering whether to order the figure while it is still in the pre-order phase:
Why is the scene so sad? In the anime, the scene is particularly dramatic as the Straw Hat crew is devastated and the “soul” of the Flying Lamb speaks to them. It thanks them for the journey so far. Especially for Usopp, this is a painful blow because he received the ship from his childhood friend.
Soon after, the Straw Hat crew receives their new ship, the Thousand Sunny, but the old one has served them faithfully until then. Therefore, this scene is an emotional farewell to the adventures they have experienced.
What do fans say about it? In the comments, a user asks whether it is the girlfriend’s intention to make her future fiancé cry. They also point out that it is not a good idea to give such a gift at a happy event like one’s own wedding.
