PUBG (PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds) reserves a lot of storage on Xbox consoles. You may need to uninstall other games to make room for the Battle Royale.
The first retail boxes of PUBG appear and show that the game wants to reserve a lot of space on hard drives.
Up to 30 GB of storage will be taken by the battle royale shooter on consoles. This may not seem like “a lot” for some console players, as other games take up even double the amount of storage. The PC version of PUBG, however, currently requires much less space.

The packaging of PUBG mentions that the number is not fixed and may change. However, the release of PUBG on Xbox is imminent. Whether the number will change significantly in such a short time remains questionable. The packaging was discovered by Windowscentral.
Perhaps they are just keeping the “30 GB” open for future expansion, allowing PUBG to grow even bigger. The current PC version is not even 8 GB in size, although the developers also recommend “up to 30GB of free space” there. This leaves plenty of room for future content patches with more maps or new features.
However, it cannot currently be ruled out that the console version of PUBG is simply significantly larger than that of the PC players.
The sale via retail box may seem strange to many players, as PUBG is still in Early Access. So what should one do with a disc containing an unfinished game that is regularly updated?
The packaging contains no disc with the game, but a download code.
The download is done as usual via the Xbox Live service.
