In the console games, sleeping Snorlax always blocked the way. This could soon also be the case in Pokémon GO.
This indicates sleeping Snorlax: In the latest Update 0.143.0, a text excerpt was found that indicates sleeping Snorlax. It states “IAmASleepingSnorlax”, which translates to “I am a sleeping Snorlax”.
Do we need to wake up sleeping Snorlax soon with the Poké Flute?
This is what sleeping Snorlax is about
Therefore, you know this Snorlax: Anyone who has played Pokémon on the consoles or is currently playing one of the Let’s GO games will be aware of the sleeping Snorlax.

While exploring the world in the game, a sleeping Snorlax suddenly lay in front of you, blocking the way. You could only wake the Pokémon with a Poké Flute and battle it. After that, the way was clear.
Will we see this Snorlax soon in Pokémon GO? It remains to be seen what this text passage means. Implementing this feature in Pokémon GO is complicated, as a Snorlax cannot block a path that would also block in real life.
If you look at other relevant text passages in the update, it seems that Snorlax will appear as a photobomb like Pikachu and Farfetch’d. Afterward, it should appear in the wild as a sleeping Pokémon that you need to wake up.
There may be a special event for this, or the sleeping Snorlax could be part of the GO Fests in the summer. So far, no further conclusions can be drawn from the finding.
When will we know more about it? Niantic is currently rolling out the update. This will likely take a few more days, and only then will we learn more about these text passages.
What else was found in the update? The highlight of the update will likely be new types of Lures coming to the game. This will probably also include the two new Eevee evolutions.
In addition to the new update, a new mobile game from Pokémon has also been announced:
