In Diablo Immortal, everything revolves around the best loot and the perfect equipment. In the game, there is a very useful vendor who is a great help in creating builds, but is not explained in the guide: Essence Transfer. We will explain what the vendor offers and why he is the best friend of Legendary hunters on MeinMMO.
What is Essence Transfer? The vendor “Zamina” is located in the south of Westmarch and is responsible for Essence Transfer in Diablo Immortal.
The mechanic allows you to save the legendary effects of each Legendary of a class and apply them to other Legendaries. It is actually quite affordable and allows you to reconfigure Legendaries.
For example, with the Necromancer, the legendary helm “Face of the Faceless” becomes the Legendary “Crown of the Golden Belt”. The new item takes on the attributes and magical effects of the old Legendary but has the legendary effect of the new Legendary.
The two Legendaries only need to be the same type of equipment – a helm remains a helm. Otherwise, the mechanic is very user-friendly and allows you a lot of experimentation. How exactly this works, you will find out here.

How Does Extracting Work? Take a Legendary that you no longer need and would normally break down. Open the map in Westmarch and look for the “Essence Transfer” in the legend on the left. Let yourself be navigated to the vendor.
Talk to the vendor and open the menu for “Essence Transfer”. Using the option “Extract”, you can save legendary effects. Under “Bestow”, you’ll then reconfigure the Legendaries.
Look for the Legendary in the extraction list that you have in your inventory and click on it. In the “required materials” field, place the item and confirm.
For 3,000 gold, you extract the effect, and the inserted Legendary is destroyed in the process. However, you can now always access the saved effect without restrictions.
How Does Bestowing Work? Once you have saved/extracted the effect, you can now turn any Legendary from the corresponding equipment slot into the saved Legendary.
Attributes and magical effects remain the same. But the appearance and legendary effect will be transferred.
Click on the Legendary you want to change in the “Bestow” menu, select the essence you want the Legendary to transform into in the next menu, and you now have the desired legendary effect on your item.
If the attributes and magical effects are correct, but you do not have the desired legendary effect yet, then put the item in the chest and take it out again once you have the essence.
When reconfiguring Legendaries, Diablo Immortal is very generous. You can save effects and reconfigure the items as often as you like – without additional costs.

You can’t break or lose anything here: Bestowing is free of charge, and you can reconfigure the item again. It is even possible to restore the Legendary back to what it originally was – without possessing the essence.
When Can I Break Down My Legendaries? Three things should fit for you to break down Legendaries without a guilty conscience:
- You already have the legendary effect as essence
- The attributes and magical effects on the Legendary do not fit
- The overall stats of the Legendary are poor
Since you can reconfigure each Legendary, you should totally disregard the legendary effects when assessing the item.
