The next DLC for The Elder Scrolls Online (PC, PS4, Xbox One) will be released in February and it will have a lot to offer. These are the contents of Dragon Bones. It’s heading towards Skyrim.
2018 is off to a rapid start for The Elder Scrolls Online: Zenimax kicks off the MMORPG year with a preview of “Dragon Bones,” the first of three planned DLCs in 2018. Additionally, ESO is planning a larger expansion, which ESO fans are already speculating about.
Alongside the Dragon Bones expansion, a free update will be released – Update 17. All of this is supposed to happen in February 2018.
2 Dungeons come at a cost – much in ESO is free though
The paid part of ESO, the Dragon Bones DLC, features two new dungeons:
- At the Summit of the Dragoncaller – Corrupted cultists take over the tomb of a dragon priestess
- And Claw’s Lair – here you face a necromancer
Players with an active subscription get Dragon Bones for free – everyone can get the DLC via Crown Points.

Cosmetic System brings a kind of Transmog to The Elder Scrolls Online
The accompanying Update 17 offers a lot of free content for everyone:
- A new system for fashion-conscious “The Elder Scrolls Online” players is the “Cosmetic System”: Here you can change your gear to reflect a crafting style that you master. It’s a form of “Transmog” system, as known from other MMORPGs.
- Additionally, a new “Level-Up System” is coming, which gives you rewards and tips as you level up – a little gold or, at milestones, a mount. Tips and rewards are designed to make it easier for new players to start in ESO.

- The storage for homes and improvements in the combat system are additional features in The Elder Scrolls Online: Classic quality-of-life and balance changes, as is typical in an update. Here it is said that feedback from players is being considered.
- Also, two new battlegrounds are available for free: Mor Khazgur and the Depths. Mor Khazgur is known from Skyrim.
