A new trailer for The Division has been leaked.
An “official statement”, it is said, is like trying to put toothpaste back into the tube. It’s somewhat similar with things on the internet that one would like to remove. In the Subforum for The Division on reddit, a player posted a link to a video a few hours ago and said: Where did this trailer come from? I have been following the game since 2013. But I don’t know this trailer at all?
It turned out: No one knew it. Someone from the circle of The Division accidentally posted a trailer that hadn’t been approved for release yet. The video was then set to “private”, but by then it was already too late. The trailer is now available on numerous “mirrors” on the internet.
You can currently watch it at this link, but probably not for long.
Update: Ubisoft has given up and officially released the trailer now. We have an English version with German subtitles for you. This is the trailer from Ubisoft Germany that was intended for us. Enjoy.
The trailer shows the “hostage situations” and also the hangings, of which was mentioned in the age rating. Apparently, the trailer also presents the advanced base with the different areas and personnel, showing a doctor, a police officer, and an engineer.
There is a lot of action to see, with some weapons and equipment like foldable ballistic shields, lots of flamethrowers, shotguns, grenades, and deployable turrets. All in all, an impressive gameplay trailer. And now you can even understand it and enjoy it without fear that it will disappear again soon.
