After the Closed Beta, the Open Beta of The Division has also recently come to an end. Rewards are promised for participation in both test phases.
Over 6.4 million agents participated in the Open Beta of The Division: this is a new beta record. These participants are to be rewarded with stylish rewards.
Ubisoft has already announced in their FAQ section that there will be in-game rewards as a thank you for participating in the test phase. These can be unlocked at the launch of the main game. However, how this “thank you” will look concretely has been completely unknown so far. Neither Ubisoft nor Massive Entertainment has disclosed any details about this.
According to Community Manager Hamish Bode (via reddit), these are the rewards for your efforts in the test phases:
Open Beta: Shortbows-Sports-Jacket
This jacket is a thank you for participating in the Open Beta. It is expected to be available at the rewards vendor in the Operations Base.
Closed Beta: Shortbows-Sports-Cap
Participants of the Closed Beta are to receive this stylish cap. This too is expected to be available at the rewards vendor.
Alpha: Weapon Skin
This weapon skin is to be awarded for participating in the Alpha. Only Xbox One users can look forward to this.
All rewards are part of the “New York Shortbows” gear set. This set is particularly characterized by the colors blue, white, and red. The rewards will be available right at launch. Therefore, we will probably see numerous agents running around with these free items from day one.
There are no official statements about the rewards, i.e. a statement directly from Ubisoft or Massive. However, since this information comes from Hamish Bode, who is the community developer for The Division, it can be considered very credible.
