With title update 6.1, The Division 2 brought agents a fun intended snowball weapon. However, the crazy SMG means business with the enemies and clears out those nasty bandits with a strong skill build. Here’s how the build works.
What’s happening in Division 2? The post-apocalyptic loot shooter The Division 2 provided players with a significant update before the holiday break, featuring a new weapon and an unexpectedly good hardcore mode.
You can find all the information about title update 6.1 here.
Now there are already the first builds with the snowball-spitting “Sleigher”, and the perk “Hidden Stone” causes whole groups of enemies to stagger, as if after an extended bandit Christmas party.
Sleigher build causes unrest among enemies
What makes the build special? To effectively use the “Snowplow”, you need to make use of the special perk “Hidden Stone”. This allows you to confuse enemies with headshots every 20 seconds.
The Division YouTuber “NothingButSkillz” immediately saw the potential of this ability and built the snowball thrower into a skill build with almost overpowering attributes.
Because to cause status changes, the modified SMG only needs one precise shot, something that has hardly been possible before. Furthermore, the enemies are confused by this. A debuff that could previously only be triggered by the opponents’ gadgets.
How good is the build really? In his video, NothingButSkillz shows a bit of gameplay of his new skill build at the beginning and end, making it clear: The enemies don’t stand a chance.
He clears the first wave of a level 4 checkpoint solo without even having seen the boss and barely firing any shots. Confused enemies are constantly running across the screen, looking for their last sip of mulled wine.
Snowplow as an optimal addition to skill builds
How does the build work? The featured build is packed with yellow skill attributes and is otherwise specialized for skills. Here are the key data:
- A lot of yellow attributes
- 3x Red / 6x Blue / 14x Yellow
- about 100,000 health / 200,000 armor / 3,000 skill power
- The Snowplow
- Perk “Hidden Stone” confuses enemies every 20 seconds with a headshot.
- 4 pieces of Hard-Wired Set
- Kills with one skill refresh the other skill.
- Extra damage when one of the skills is fully charged.
- BT data gloves
- When status effects are caused, the gloves charge up and other skills can trigger the effect as well.
- Extra damage when enemies are affected by the loaded status effect.
- Cluster mines and turret
- Every kill with the turret recharges the cluster mines, and you can unleash the next round of homing grenades on the enemies.
How do I play the build? With this setup, you hardly need to fire any shots. Confuse the first rushing bandit with the Snowplow during a new wave to charge up the exo-gloves.
Set up your turret and send the first batch of cluster mines into the unsuspecting crowd. Enemies who survived the bomb blast wander around confused, and the turret takes care of them. That also recharges the cluster mines, allowing you to expect the next wave.
Every 60 seconds, you should give an enemy a headshot with the Snowplow to recharge your gloves with the effect; otherwise, you can comfortably leave your weapons in the holster and enjoy the fireworks.
Update 6.1 brings strong weapon and strong mode
What else did the update bring? In addition to a charming Santa hat and the snowball thrower, title update 6.1 came with a clothing event, for which you can still collect crates until the end of the year.
Players were also surprised by a newly released hardcore mode featuring permadeath. While the mode is currently in beta, there are already players who are celebrating the new approach, even though there aren’t even rewards for regular characters.
Have you already obtained the Snowplow and fired some snowballs into the faces of enemies? Or were you not so convinced by the update?
