In The Division 2, agents can create and manage their own clans. However, many players do not know how and when this is possible. We clarify.
Why Clans? The Division 2 is also fun solo, but the game reaches its full potential in co-op with other agents. To promote this aspect further, players now have the opportunity to create clans and organize themselves in these communities with up to 50 friends and like-minded individuals.
But the clan feature is not just a convenient solution for quickly finding players or having a nice overview. In The Division 2, it pays off for agents to play in a clan.
As a clan, you can pursue specific, common goals and unlock rewards for all members. Additionally, there are among other things
- a private social space in the White House
- a clan-level system
- a dedicated clan vendor
- awards for the best members
- clan feed for communication
- 2 dedicated voice channels for up to 25 players each

Creating a Clan in The Division 2 – Here’s how
The requirements for creating a clan: The Division 2 has been playable since March 11 with early access for some players. Many agents wanted to create their own clan or join one as one of their first steps. However, many were surprised to find that this option was missing for them.
The clan function is not immediately available at the start. First, you need to make some progress in-game to unlock this feature.
You need to do the following:
- Recruit Grace Larson from the Theater settlement. You can find her on the roof of the theater building at the administration, where you can also view the settlement progress.
- The game will guide you early to the Theater settlement. To recruit Grace, you need to master two missions from the Theater settlement that you get from NPCs there.
- Once the two missions are completed, you can talk to Grace in the Theater settlement and recruit her. She will then go to the White House and strengthen your team there. You will find her in the ground floor of the East Wing.
- Talk to her in her new home, and the clan feature will be unlocked for you.
Here’s how to create your clan: Once the function is unlocked, you can use it directly at Grace or through the game menu by selecting the clan tile. There you can create your own clans, search for other clans, and join a clan.
The menu is largely self-explanatory. You can create a clan name and emblem, and set various other parameters such as privacy, playtimes, and atmosphere, or search specifically for such criteria.
One feature that is somewhat hidden and can easily be overlooked is the option to invite players to your clan. You will find this option in the player overview of the clan menu. There you can add further members.
Keep in mind that you need at least three other agents to advance clan development. Also, clan progress only starts with a minimum of four members.
