Disney is bringing the new mobile hero shooter Star Wars: Rivals for iOS and Android. In PvP arenas, you can engage in battles between Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader, Jyn against Director Krennic, and other epic conflicts.
A mobile action shooter called Star Wars: Rivals is set to be released. At the center are conflicts that you engage in through cover-based PvP matches. In real-time, you face off against other opponents with your combat teams and try to dominate them. After Paladins Strike, which is currently in a playable alpha, it is the next announced hero shooter for mobile.
You will be able to get the game for free soon on iOS and Android. It will include microtransactions.
Star Wars: Rivals – Features, what can we expect in the game?
In Star Wars: Rivals, you can have various heroes like Luke Skywalker or Darth Vader face off against each other on your mobile devices. To survive the fast-paced PvP fights, you can use the environment for cover. Additionally, you can easily switch characters during matches if you want to change your strategy.
You collect heroes to build the ultimate combat team. The further you progress in the arena leagues, the rarer heroes you unlock. Of course, legendary heroes like Darth Vader, Boba Fett, and Luke Skywalker are also included. Unfortunately, we could not find Jar Jar.
The characters have their own strengths that will help you achieve victory.
Fight in classic conflicts such as:
- Han Solo and Boba Fett
- Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader
- Finn and Captain Phasma
If you defeat rivals in battle, you will earn additional battle points. This will help you rise faster in the leaderboards. Through gameplay progression, you unlock more characters.
Weapons and Special Abilities
Once you master the special abilities and unique weapons in Star Wars: Rivals, opponents will have a hard time. Powerful weapons such as Chewbacca’s Bowcaster, Han Solo’s DL-44 Blaster pistol, and Boba Fett’s EE-3 Carbine rifle are at your disposal. Additionally, powerful abilities like Darth Vader’s Force Choke and Admiral Ackbar’s devastating orbital strike are available.
Familiar Environments and Side Bonuses
The PvP battles take place in recognizable locations that Star Wars fans will quickly identify. These include Bespin, Scarif, Jakku, and the Death Star. To receive bonuses for damage or health regeneration in battles, you form teams of the same side (such as the Rebellion, the Empire, the First Order, or the Underworld).
Guilds in Star Wars: Rivals
Together with other players, you can form guilds in Star Wars: Rivals. You will fight your way through the arena leaderboards to earn credits, data pads, and reward crates. This allows you to upgrade heroes.
Microtransactions
Star Wars: Rivals is a free-to-play game that offers in-app purchases. These range in price from $4.99 to $99.99.
An official release date has not been announced yet. However, you can already register for the game now. If you register as an Android user now for Star Wars: Rivals, you will get access to Death Troopers in the game. iOS users will receive access to Rebel Special Forces in the first days after release. As the game supports cross-platform play, we can expect some great battles.
