Night City from Cyberpunk 2077 is not considered an optimal place to live if you want to lead a peaceful and, above all, safe life. V has already written off that kind of life anyway. But which places in the city are the most dangerous if you are just an ordinary resident?
The various places in Night City differ not only by their inhabitants and their layout. Depending on where you are in the so-called “City of Dreams”, regular life can look very different.
You can never really talk about safety in Cyberpunk 2077 anyway. Nevertheless, there are districts that are even more dangerous than others – and even the “most comfortable” place is no guarantee for a long, fulfilling life.
In this list, we will address all the places in Night City and present them in a ranking. This way, we work our way from the (if you can really call it that) “safest” place to the depths of the city where you really don’t want to end up.

Rank 6 – City Center
- Lower districts: Corporate Center, Downtown
City Center in Night City is regarded by pretty much everyone who doesn’t challenge megacorporations and has enough money as the safest place in Night City. Here live the rich and powerful, who can feel safe thanks to all the nearby services.
Especially at Corpo Plaza, the streets look so shiny and chrome that it seems you could dine from the ground. Militech drones and the NCPD are heavily present here, which might simulate safety for the regular citizen, but is more of a thorn in the side for someone like V and other Edgerunners.
It can be said that this place may be the safest, but for a large part of the population, it is never accessible. It is a luxury that not everyone can or wants to avail themselves of. Therefore, they turn to other places in the city, which will follow in the next pages of this list.
