BlizzardWorld – The Blizzard theme park in Overwatch!
Blizzard has given many players unique memories in many games. Memories that are special for everyone. Wouldn’t it be fantastic to relive those moments again?
In Overwatch, this will soon be possible – through an amusement park: BlizzardWorld! Since Overwatch is set in the future of our world, the opening of a park makes sense. The new map in the hero shooter will be an amusement park that unites all Blizzard universes.
Want to play a round of Hearthstone? Head to the tavern! Interested in space travel? Visit the space station from StarCraft! Hungry from the journey through the themed areas? Get refreshments at Snaxxramas! Whether Azeroth, Sanctuary, or the Koprulu Sector, BlizzardWorld allows you to visit all worlds!
How does the map work, and when can you play it?
BlizzardWorld will be a hybrid map. This means that the first point must be attacked and captured in order to escort a payload to the target (as already seen in Numbani or King’s Row).
If you belong to the vast majority who don’t know what a payload is – don’t worry. Even Jeff Kaplan said that you can simply rely on the friendly Zenyatta main next door, he will know what to do.

This structure allows for the exploration of the many angles and locations of the map. So there will be plenty of time for nostalgia, even in the fastest match!
The new map is expected to be released early next year. So pack your friends, power up your computers, and visit BlizzardWorld together in a few weeks!
