The online action role-playing game Dauntless is currently in closed beta but aims to release this year.
Before that, however, there will be an open beta in which everyone can participate. The developers are currently preparing this testing phase and are diligently working on new features and improvements so that participants in the open testing phase can truly enjoy it.
Seven steps until the open testing phase begins
Currently, 7 steps are planned that are still necessary to reach the open beta:
- UI – The user interface is to be revised and adjusted in all areas to allow for the simplest and most pleasant navigation possible
- Evergame – This refers to the interplay of story, world, content, and challenges. Dauntless is to be expanded in all areas by the time of open beta
- Island Gameplay – The islands where you hunt the Behemoths are to be made more interesting so that it is worth exploring them
- Slayer Expression – You will receive even more opportunities to customize the appearance of your hero
- Performance and Scale – The team continues to optimize the performance of Dauntless to enable smooth gameplay
- Combat – Battles will feel even better in the open beta. Those swinging a large hammer should also feel the heft of this weapon
- Tutorials – Newcomers are to be introduced to the game even better
The developers want to go into more detail about the individual elements before the start of the open beta, the date of which has not yet been determined. Then we should also slowly learn when we can expect the start of the open beta.
Dauntless does not want to be discouraged by Monster Hunter World and has big plans for 2018.
