What is Tera? Tera is an MMORPG that represents a mix of an Asian grinder and quest-based MMORPG. The story revolves around a war between the underground Argons and the Valkyon Federation. You complete many quests, battle numerous monsters, and explore the world. During this journey, you improve your character to take on the boss monsters. The endgame consists of many creative dungeons, raids, and PvP battlefields. Otherwise, the leveling phase is quite dry and consists of standard fare.
How does combat work in Tera? In Tera, you have to aim using a crosshair, keep moving, actively strike, and dodge or block depending on class in Tera. It is fast-paced gameplay, and there are many skills that run through combos in intuitive chains.
The spectacular bosses in Tera remind more of traditional MMORPGs like World of Warcraft in their mechanics. In hard modes at endgame, combat is quite tactical: Your abilities need to be well-timed to the multifaceted attacks and phases of the boss. However, this is noticeable only in the current encounters. Until then, many dungeons consist of frantic, unchallenging brawls.
