The start of Season 5 in Fortnite: Battle Royale is getting closer. Some leaks are gradually being shared by data miners. Now, however, Epic itself seems to have contributed to the first hint regarding the new Battle Pass, which features: Baby Yoda.
What is happening in Fortnite right now? The end of Season 4 – Chapter 2 is approaching. The live event with the Nexus War will take place on December 1. Players will have to face the villain Galactus.
A leak also shows when Season 5 in Fortnite might continue. However, it is not yet known exactly when that will be. There are only now first hints regarding the Battle Pass for the next season.
Fortnite accidentally leaks the Battle Pass itself
What happened? On November 24, Fortnite introduced a new subscription service, where players can secure cool items monthly. This is called: Fortnite Crew. But not only that was revealed, as Epic seems to have accidentally leaked the cover image from the Season 5 Battle Pass as well.
The cover image is usually displayed only after the update for the new season has been released. It is then visible in the stores where Fortnite can be purchased. It seems that Epic accidentally changed the image.
You can see the image in this tweet:
Baby Yoda as part of the Battle Pass?
This is what could be seen in the image: On the cover image of Season 5, three skins can be seen that will likely be part of the next Battle Pass. At the front, you can see The Mandalorian and right behind him Baby Yoda, sitting in his small capsule.
At first, it was suspected that the next season would be completely dedicated to Star Wars or directly to “The Mandalorian.” After all, we had a huge collaboration with Marvel, which involved the whole season. Even the Battle Pass only consisted of heroes from the Marvel Universe. Both Star Wars and Marvel belong to Disney.
However, since there are additional skins in the image that are not related to Star Wars, it could also just be the secret skin of Season 5. This is not always connected to the storyline of the season.
Baby Yoda will likely become a back accessory of the Mandalorian, as the size would fit. This would not be the first collaboration with Star Wars we have seen. There was even a whole live event in Fortnite, where players could see a premiere of the latest film.
The Creative Director of Epic Games, Donald Mustard, had already hinted at what content we can expect in the future from Fortnite. During a video conference, he hid several hints in the background. Afterwards, players already suspected that there could be more sci-fi content.
