Blizzard has launched a new alpha test of the mobile game Diablo Immortal. The focus is on PvP and endgame content.
Who is the alpha for? The freshly launched alpha is aimed at players living in Australia. Additionally, selected members of the Diablo community, some influencers, and representatives of the press have been invited.
What is the alpha about? There are some innovations compared to the test that took place last December. These include:
- The new class of the Crusader as a hybrid between the wizard and melee fighter
- New zones and dungeons, including Mount Zavian, the home of the monks, and the Frozen Tundra, as well as the dungeon Cave of Echoes
- PvP
- Endgame content
Diablo Immortal’s Game Designer Wyatt Cheng talks in the video about the new alpha of Diablo Immortal:
Into the Endgame of Diablo Immortal
This is the focus of the alpha: The test centers around the endgame, which is also closely linked to the PvP of Diablo Immortal. We will introduce you to the endgame content in more detail.
Here is what the endgame looks like: The endgame content revolves around earning the Crown of Eternity to become an Immortal. Those who can claim this coveted crown in the PvP war can make the other members of their faction complete tasks as their leader. We will reveal how you can obtain the Crown of Eternity soon in a separate article on MeinMMO. First, we will present the tasks that you may assign as soon as you possess the crown.
To start one of the endgame missions, it is necessary for the members of your faction to complete daily quests. This allows them to collect the resource Essentia. If you have enough Essentia, these tasks become available to you:
- Kion’s Trial – Up to 48 players from your faction can attempt this raid. Within 30 minutes, you must defeat four boss opponents. As a reward, you receive loot along with Daedass’s Blessing. The buff grants you a strengthening effect and a bonus for Elder Portals. Additionally, it fills the treasure chamber of the Immortals.
- Defense of the Treasure Chamber – Your enemies attempt to attack the treasure chamber of the Immortals. Then your faction must push back the thieves.
What else is there to do in the endgame? Another endgame content is the Hell’s Reliquary. After the main quest, you can use this machine to seek out particularly powerful demons. If you defeat the monsters, you feed the machine with the remains so that you can absorb a part of the demons’ power and thus become even stronger.
It is possible to upgrade the Hell’s Reliquary, for which you need to collect the material Scoria, which you can find at the Honor Vendor and in Bounty Chests. NPC Charsi then crafts Hellfire Scoria from it, which you use to upgrade the machine. This grants your character more power from the collected remains of the demons.
