In a livestream, the developers announced the release date and an important new feature for Diablo Immortal. The game, which was previously planned only as a mobile game, will also have a dedicated PC version.
When does Diablo Immortal come out? Diablo Immortal will be released in the West on June 2, 2022, and a bit later in the month for Asian regions. Then you can immerse yourself in the events occurring between Diablo 2 and Diablo 3.
What else did the developers reveal in the stream? In the stream, Wyatt Cheng, the game director, revealed that Diablo Immortal will be a AAA game designed to be accessible to as many players as possible. It is intended to be the biggest Diablo ever.
That’s why there will also be a PC version.
What’s the deal with the PC version? In addition to the mobile version, there will also be a dedicated PC version. This will offer cross-play and cross-save capabilities, allowing PC and mobile gamers to play together. It will be released alongside the smartphone version on June 2 – but initially only as an open beta.
PC players can use either a controller or PC with keyboard. There will even be a WASD control scheme, a first in Diablo.
The idea behind the PC version is that players can start their session on the computer in Diablo Immortal and later switch to the mobile version in bed or outside.

Immortal offers more than all previous Diablo titles
What is Diablo Immortal anyway? Immortal will be the latest installment in the Diablo series, which was originally intended to be released only for Android and iOS. Basically, the game is meant to provide a typical Diablo experience:
- You will slash through hordes of monsters in isometric perspective
- You will play as one of 6 different classes
- There is a campaign expected to last around 10 hours if played consecutively
- You can explore eight expansive areas
- There are deep systems for upgrading your equipment
- Rifts and bounties will accompany you while leveling
- Paragon levels will also return
Additionally, however, there will be some MMORPG elements:
- There are PvP content where good loot awaits
- There will be dungeons and raids for 4 to 8 players
- Immortals can participate in raids for up to 48 players
The MMORPG elements were particularly noticeable in the first tests and received a lot of positive feedback. It’s no wonder the director himself says that Diablo Immortal is an ambitious MMO:
