We might soon be able to try Diablo Immortal! At least that can be assumed if one believes some sources around Blizzard, as the internal tests have allegedly ended.
This is the current status of Diablo Immortal:
- The mobile game from the Diablo universe was announced at BlizzCon 2018
- In November 2019, developer NetEase stated that the game was finished – but Blizzard denied that
- Until recently, internal tests were supposed to be running for Diablo Immortal – developers and employees of Blizzard were able to test it
However, something is changing for the general public. While there has been little heard about the mobile game so far, there are now small changes that give fans hope.
It is also claimed that the internal tests are already completed. External tests, such as an alpha or beta, could therefore start soon.
What is the status of Diablo Immortal?
This is now hopeful: On a Discord server for Diablo Immortal, the account “SnowTyrant” wrote that the internal tests for the mobile game are finished.
Many fans suspect an admin from NetEase behind this name, the developers of Diablo Immortal.
Further hope arises due to the page for Diablo Immortal in the Play Store. This was updated on August 24 and 26, respectively. This is the first time since October 2018.
What could happen now? If the internal tests have indeed ended, external tests could start soon. Blizzard and NetEase could thus test the game through an alpha or beta with interested players.
If that is the case, we could expect an announcement soon. After all, there was a trailer for Diablo Immortal a few weeks ago that indicated a release could be imminent.
Currently, there are still many theories from fans, but it seems something is happening with the mobile game, otherwise the product page in the Play Store would not have been updated suddenly after nearly 2 years.
By the way, Diablo Immortal is among the most promising MMOs and MMORPGs for 2020 and 2021.
