The first Battle Pass of Diablo Immortal ends on July 7, exactly 5 weeks after the release. Still, there is no information about what is supposed to come right after, and the fans are slowly getting restless.
The most important points at a glance:
- On June 1st/2nd, Diablo Immortal officially launched worldwide and achieved great successes with the release.
- However, the sense of novelty is fading among players, and they are waiting for updates. So far, there has been no significant patch.
- Now, global community lead Adam Fletcher reveals that the first update is likely to be coming soon and is expected to focus on the Battle Pass (via reddit.com).
When will new content arrive? According to Fletcher, you can expect the first update “within the next few weeks.” He says it should come “towards the end of the current Battle Pass.”
The Battle Pass ends already on July 7, which is why many fans are now unsure about what to expect. Because there are still no patch notes and no specific date for the update. However, Fletcher is at least providing some information.

What will be included in the first update? In the relatively short comment on reddit, Fletcher explains that the first update is mainly intended to focus on the Battle Pass. Assuming current activities in the pass, possible contents could be:
- Dungeons
- Portals
- Bounties
- Battlefields
- Side quests
These contents are the targets for activities and quests for the Battle Pass. Whether the focus on this means that more variation will come or simply more tasks is something Fletcher has not revealed yet.
The update is also supposed to include “some features, fixes, and so on,” which have not yet been detailed. However, Fletcher teased new story content for the future.
What other content is coming? We already know that the class change for Diablo Immortal is coming. This allows you to play a different class with a cooldown without having to level up a second character.
Additionally, there will be new bosses in the hell’s reliquary and even new classes. However, the latter will take the most development time, which is why you should not expect old friends or even suspected completely new classes anytime soon.

We have already asked Blizzard how exactly the upcoming contents will look and when they will arrive. An answer is still pending. More details on the timing of upcoming updates should be in the first patch notes. Currently, there is still no information about that.
