Diablo Immortal offers various activities for players to farm loot. One of these activities includes the Hidden Lairs. But what is it exactly and where can I find it? MeinMMO reveals the answer in this guide.
What is a Hidden Lair? In Diablo Immortal, you can discover small, hidden caves, which when completed, reward you with loot. These caves are called Hidden Lairs and are akin to small event dungeons that can appear at various locations in the zones.
At the end of each lair, a boss awaits, and the rewards include Normal Gems.

Notification indicates a Hidden Lair
How do I find the hidden lairs? When you approach a hidden lair, a message appears on your screen saying “A Hidden Lair has appeared in the area.” This message indicates that you can now find such a lair in the area you are currently traversing. To find it, you need to roam the area and try to locate the lair.
Additionally, an icon will be shown on the minimap when you are near a lair. This marks the entrance to a Hidden Lair.
You can recognize the entrance by its design. For example, you might notice a blue glow at a position. This serves as a hint for an entrance to a hidden lair.
You can also inspect the entrance when you move your mouse cursor over it and quickly determine that something special awaits you at that spot.
Where can Hidden Lairs appear? A hidden lair appears at a set position. However, since there are numerous potential fixed positions, the location where a Hidden Lair appears is not always the same.
For example, in the Dark Forest, there are 9 different positions where a Hidden Lair can be. So if you receive the message that a hidden lair is nearby, you must check the positions where the lair can appear.
No Hidden Lair can appear in the areas of Westmark and Wortham. Here is a list of the areas where the small loot adventures currently (as of June 7, 2022) appear.
- Ashworld Cemetery (German: Friedhof von Ashwold)
- Dark Wood (German: Dunkelwald)
- Shassar Sea (German: Meer von Shassar)
- Zoltun Kulls Archive (German: Zoltun Kulls Archiev)
- Bilefen (German: Faulmarsch)
Why should I play Hidden Lairs? A Hidden Lair offers a quick way to obtain loot and rewards. However, this is only the case if you stumble upon a lair by chance. Actively seeking out Hidden Lairs is rarely worthwhile.
The small dungeons are a reliable source for Normal Gems and also grant decent experience points. However, they are often difficult to find.
