Diablo Immortal is set to release in 2022 for Android and iOS. To prepare perfectly for the release, we present you with the 6 classes in the game in detail. We reveal the playstyle of the classes and the abilities they possess.
What classes are there in Diablo Immortal?
- Barbarian
- Demon Hunter
- Crusader
- Monk
- Necromancer
- Wizard
Each class can be played as either a male or female character.
How strong are the classes? In our Tier List for Diablo Immortal, we show you which classes are the strongest in which areas and what skills you can use to play them.
Can I switch my class in the game? Yes. Unlike in previous installments of Diablo, you can switch classes during a run. You will retain your Paragon level and progress, but you will need to farm items again. You will receive a starter set so you are not left empty-handed.
However, the class switch will not be implemented until after the release. You can find more about it here:
How does it work with the abilities? At launch, you have access to a primary attack that can be spammed without cooldown, and three other abilities that you unlock quickly. Later on, you will learn more abilities and even a new primary attack. You charge up the ultimate version of the attacks over time, and it can then be activated.
Will more classes be added? No additional classes have been officially announced, but it is not unusual for Diablo to add a new class after release. Data miners have already found a type of vampire knight.
All about the Barbarian
What primary attacks does the Barbarian have? With the first attack – Lacerate – you strike directly X-times, dealing damage with each hit. Every third hit heals you. In the ultimate version of the attack, you receive healing for 20% of the damage dealt for every hit for 12 seconds. Additionally, every third attack knocks the enemy down.
The second primary attack is called Frenzy and is unlocked at level 34. You attack fiercely, dealing damage. Each hit increases attack speed by 8% for 3 seconds and can stack up to 5 times. In the ultimate version of the attack, you attack for 12 seconds and during this time, you are immune to CC (crowd control). Furthermore, your attack speed is increased.
What abilities does the Barbarian have at launch? At Levels 1 to 3, you learn the following three abilities:
- Hammer of the Ancients: An attack that smashes enemies directly in front of you
- Chained Spear: Deals damage to enemies and pulls them toward you
- Whirlwind: You spin around and hit all enemies in the area
Who is the class suitable for? Barbarians are muscle-bound warriors who stand in the midst of the fray with their axe. They sometimes play a tank role as they pull enemies together on the front line and keep them away from mages and ranged fighters, especially with the pulling of Chained Spear.
So, if you like to be in the thick of things and have no problem taking hits at the front, then the Barbarian is absolutely right for you.
