What is Diablo Immortal? Diablo Immortal is the attempt to bring a fully-fledged action RPG in the Diablo style to smartphones. The game was presented in 2018 in a rather unfortunate manner at BlizzCon and had a very hard time among the fans.
Many feared that Diablo Immortal would become a cheap mobile game that has little gameplay depth and is only aimed at players to extract money for Pay2Win items.

Anyone starting Diablo Immortal for the first time will, according to the unanimous opinion of the testers, immediately be taken in by the typical “Diablo flair.” The game looks like Diablo, sounds like Diablo, and plays largely like it too.
Since there are now also customization options for equipment, the gameplay, where you constantly collect new loot and then further optimize it, is now present in the mobile version as well.
Additionally, there is the fun PvP mode, which lets 30 selected players even battle against a single overpowering player in a crazy boss fight.
What might not please Diablo fans
Less well received was that Diablo Immortal follows a trend that has often been criticized in Diablo 3: the Skill system, which was simplified in Diablo 3, has become even simpler.
Each class has a primary attack and 4 active skills. They can be selected from 2 different primary attacks and about 8 skills. Additionally, primary attacks can be charged by killing enemies.
That’s it. There are no runes to change your skills or skill trees with further customization options.
However, there are legendary items that can change your skills. So, such customization options are not entirely absent.
What is the final opinion of the testers?
Despite the accusation of strong simplification, the positive arguments for Diablo Immortal prevail. For example, the site mmorpg.com states that Diablo Immortal is certainly not the best Diablo game in the series, but it definitely satisfies the Diablo craving away from PC and console.
The site Androidcentral is even of the opinion that it is one of the best Android games ever, offering an authentic Diablo experience.
