Diablo 4 starts its campaign with Twitch Drops on June 6th. MeinMMO shows you what is available and how to get it.
What are Twitch Drops? Many new games cooperate with the streaming platform Twitch and offer Twitch Drops. For example, you watch a specific streamer for a few hours and receive in-game items in return.
In the case of Diablo 4, it is about cosmetics for equipment and there is also a mount.
What you need to do to get the items and which streamers are involved in the action, we will show you here. Here you can find all the information about the release and here is the crazy live-action trailer of Diablo 4:
Setting up Twitch Drops
How can I participate? For this, you need an active account on Battle.net and an account on Twitch. You do not need to own Diablo 4 for this.
You now need to connect your Battle.net account with Twitch. You can find the link here: Connect Battle.net with Twitch.
At the bottom of the list, you will find “Twitch”. Click on “+Connect”, then on “Continue” and log in with your Twitch account. Now click on “Authorize” and then once again on “Continue” in the Battle.net window.
You can actually also collect the drops without linking a Battle.net account. However, the drops will expire within 7 days after receiving them.
Diablo 4: Twitch Drops – Streamers
Which streamers are participating? The list of participating streamers is incredibly long. Developer Blizzard has prepared a PDF document for this:
You will find over 90 pages with almost 50 streamers per page here. If you want to know if one of your favorites is included, use the search function in the document (Windows: CTRL+F / Mac: Command+F). More streamers may be added.
You actually do not have to watch the same streamer and can switch between them, the time still continues to run.
Diablo 4: Twitch Drops – Items
How do I get the items? The action runs over four weeks, and in each week there are new items for different classes of Diablo 4. You will receive codes for the items via your Twitch notifications, which you must redeem in your Battle.net account.
The unlocking of the drops runs every week in 2 hours:
- Watch the stream for 3 hours
- Watch the stream for 6 hours
- During the stream, you can check how long you have been watching.
Additionally, there is a mount if you donate a total of 2 subs to streamers who have activated the drops at that time.
