With Season 2, the developers seem to be doing a lot right in Diablo 4. Players are currently collecting their impressions on Reddit and noting: They are indeed having a great time with the ‘Season of Blood’. But some continue to complain – at a high level.
- Since October 17, Season 2 has been live and has brought numerous improvements. It is now, for example, easier to get the best items.
- Buffs and the new vampiric powers of the season enable new builds. Some builds are even so powerful, that individual players can mow down the toughest bosses with a single attack.
- Shortly after the season started, the first positive voices about the new patch in Diablo 4 emerged. Players particularly praised the revamped mount mechanics and the whisper tasks.
Positive contributions are also increasingly gathering on Reddit. There, players are sharing their impressions of the ‘Season of Blood’ in Diablo 4. For instance, one of them shared a moment from the game on October 26, where he was inundated with loot.
Although there is still some criticism, it is limited. Especially compared to the rather unpopular Season 1, Blizzard seems to have done many things right with the new updates.
Tons of Loot, Chaos & Lots of Fun
Why was he inundated with loot? In the post from October 26 in the Diablo 4 subreddit, the user ‘Rodnex’ shows a screenshot from the game. You see a pile of equipment, including numerous “bestowed” legendaries, gold, and blood bait.
The player character stands in the middle of the blood harvest between the blood bait platforms. This is an activity in the new season where you can summon vampiric enemies. Increasingly tougher foes spawn, and completing the activity rewards you with plenty of loot and XP.

This is what other players say about it: Some users agree with ‘Rodnex’ and say that the activity is a lot of fun. The user ‘bradgoodyear’ writes: “I did three of them back to back last night with two other random players. It was absolutely chaotic and so much fun! There was tons of nearly worthless loot, but it was a great time.”
The user ‘edax’ comments: “I can confirm. I watched my child play yesterday, and he […] got about 10–12 legendary items, had a lot of fun, and was totally thrilled. This makes the game entertaining for a part of the player base.”
In another post on Reddit, the user ‘Selected-Rep’ writes that Season 2 is much better and that he is looking forward to “what the team has planned for Season 3.” He believes a few things still need to be revised, but the vampire theme is very entertaining, and he is trying everything out – which is “fantastic.”

Why do players complain at a high level
? Under the screenshot of the blood harvest activity, some players write that while there is a lot of loot, it is mostly useless. One user says this is fun until you realize that you spend more time managing your inventory than being in combat.
Other players wish for a loot filter to avoid the hours of sorting through. Some users write that it is not even necessary to deal so much with the loot at lower levels.
The user ‘TheBlackVictorNewman’ writes in the comment: “Jesus, you guys will always find something to complain about.”
Finding useful items is one thing; enchanting items to make them even more useful is another, because: One of the major changes of the season concerns the upgrade system of equipment.
