In addition to the major announcement that a new class along with an expansion will be released in Diablo 4 at the end of 2024, the next patch for the current season has also been announced, which will provide you with new, unique rings.
With the next patch on November 7, small mechanics from Season 1 will return, in the form of 5 new, unique rings. Each new ring will then be for one class each.
The rings are based on abilities and mechanics introduced during Season 1, for example, through the malevolent hearts.
You can see the teaser for the announced expansion here:
What can the 5 new unique rings do?
- Ring of Red Fury (Ring for the Barbarian)
- After you consume 100 Fury within 3 seconds, your next use of Hammer of the Ancients, Upheaval or Death Blow will guarantee a critical hit and deal an additional 10-30% (multiplicative damage) [x] critical hit damage.
- Tal Rasha’s Shimmering Ring (Ring for the Wizard)
- For every type of elemental damage you deal, you gain 10-15% [x] increased damage for 4 seconds. If you deal elemental damage, all your bonuses are refreshed.
- Airidah’s Unrelenting Will (Ring for the Druid)
- If you cast an ultimate skill and again 5 seconds later, you pull distant enemies closer and deal them 0.5-1.0 physical damage. This damage is increased by 1% [x] per 1 Willpower point.
- Winding Band of Deception (Ring for the Hunter)
- When you cast a deception skill, you leave behind a lure trap that taunts and attracts your enemies permanently. The lure trap explodes after 3 seconds, dealing 2.0-3.0 shadow damage. Can occur once every 12 seconds.
- Ring of the Soul of Sacrilege (Ring for the Necromancer)
- You automatically activate the following equipped skills on corpses in your surroundings:
- Skeletons raise every 1-2 seconds.
- Corpse Explosion every 1-2 seconds.
- Corpse Vines every 8-16 seconds.
- You automatically activate the following equipped skills on corpses in your surroundings:

A new endgame event follows in December
With the later patch on December 5, the Abattoir of Zir, a new endgame event will follow:
- You need to complete this dungeon as quickly as possible
- Once you’ve defeated enough enemies, a boss will spawn that you must defeat within the given time
- This dungeon is harder than regular Nightmare dungeons
- You must have completed the season journey of Season 2 to be able to do Abattoir of Zir
- The event will be playable for 6 weeks
Players who have achieved everything, reaching Level 100 and also defeating the last boss in the season, will have a new challenge with Abattoir of Zir. If you succeed, you will be rewarded with a new glyph that can significantly enhance your Paragon boards. Additionally, a winter event in Diablo 4 will also take place.

As a quality-of-life improvement, with the patch on December 5, a preview feature for the Occultist will also be introduced, allowing you to see which affixes are possible before you start spending your gold wildly.
