Soulbrand is one of the Uniques in Diablo 4 that can be worn by every class. You can find out how to farm the chest piece best and what it can do on MeinMMO.
What kind of item is this? Soulbrand is a chest piece that can be worn by all classes. The unique effect is that your healing potions will no longer heal you immediately, but create a barrier worth 200% of the actual healing for 4 seconds.
Additionally, you receive a bonus to your damage reduction as long as the barrier exists. Healing potions can be consumed at full health.
On top of that, the chest piece grants you bonuses to the following stats:
- maximum health
- potion capacity
- barrier generation
- damage reduction while healthy
Do I even need this? The unique can be a good addition if you play builds where skills and legendary aspects interact with barriers – like the “Pompous Aspect.” This grants you a bonus to your damage as long as you have an active barrier.
This can be useful if you either have no abilities or do not want to use ones that would provide you with barriers otherwise. However, the usage here is more suited for off-meta builds.

On Reddit, MuchToDoAboutNothin notes in the comments that Soulbrand has a few “insanely good defensive” bonuses. Additionally, the unique effect ensures that incoming poison damage matters less. Especially the poison damage from spiders and other enemies affects many players – despite high resistances. And injeanyes writes that it is suitable for the “Frozen Orb” build of the wizard.
Farming Soulbrand efficiently
Where can I find Soulbrand? To farm Uniques like the Soulbrand chest piece, there are different ways:
- The endgame activity “The Pit” rewards you not only with plenty of oboluses at the end but also with various items. Uniques drop there as well.
- At the curiosities merchant, you can exchange oboluses for items. There you “gamble” for random items in certain categories. In Season 6, the merchant has proven to be a good farming spot for Uniques.
- From the Torment level 1 onwards, you can farm the bosses for various Uniques. Your best chance to get the Soulbrand chest piece is with Duriel and Andariel.
You can summon all bosses starting from Torment level 1 to farm specific Uniques. To experience a greater challenge, you can unlock higher Torment levels in the Pit. The number of materials you need for the bosses does not change in this case.
