Today, May 14, Season 4 “Fresh Spoils” of Diablo 4 begins, and many fans are eagerly awaiting the new features. MyMMO accompanies the release with a live ticker.
When does Season 4 start? The start time is 7:00 PM in Germany. As no maintenance has been announced, we assume that the season will simply be activated, and you won’t have to do anything else – except maybe restart the game.

Minions are supposed to become significantly stronger with Season 4, minion builds especially for the necromancer are even in the top tier of the tier list. I will probably go with a sorceress again – even though the huntress also looks appealing to me.

Good morning everyone! The sun is shining – at least here – the gates to hell are open, but not much is happening yet, Season 4 is still to come. We will be live-ticking for you all day from now on. Are you already excited for the season?
The most important information about Season 4:
- Season 4 brings the biggest overhaul of the game yet. The biggest change is the complete restructuring of the loot system of Diablo 4.
- Most changes are coming to the seasonal and eternal realm.
- The season theme is the Iron Wolves, a mercenary group from Kehjistan. You will help them fend off the revamped hellish floods.
- The season mechanics this time are smaller than usual: There is a new elixir that increases the level of monsters in hellish floods by 10 for an hour. This gives you more loot.
- There is also an event for season players: “Call of the Wolf.” There you will have to complete tasks for the Iron Wolves and will receive loot on a reward path for it.

Season 4 starts and brings new content – Tips and Guides
Which class is best in Season 4? Due to the revisions, the necromancer has fought its way to the top of the tier list. Necromancers are no longer just top-tier while leveling, they also shine in endgame with various builds.
If you are starting fresh and want zombies and necromancy, necromancers are by far your best choice. Right after come druids, but the classes in the ranking are still very close together. Probably the best for leveling are:
- Necromancer – The best all-rounder
- Sorceress
- Huntress – With perfect builds that directly transition into endgame
- Barbarian
- Druid – Strong in the endgame

This is new: In Season 4, loot will be easier to understand. You will have fewer affixes on the items, but they should better fit your character. In the endgame, you will then have the opportunity to customize your equipment through crafting.
You can bring new affixes to items with hardening and strengthen all affixes through completion. This way, you can basically build your own God Roll with a bit of luck. Here you can find our guide to hardening and completion in Season 4.
Trading will also be improved. Except for Uber Uniques and items bound by crafting, everything can now be traded. You can even craft Uber Uniques yourself. For beginners, we have prepared a few more guides and tips for you:
If you play Season 4, you will best get through the entire game with hellish floods. Both for leveling and in the early endgame, you have the best chances for loot and experience points here.
Only later will the new dungeon The Pit be the place you want to visit often. The dungeon works similarly to a Greater Rift from Diablo 4, where you must kill enough monsters in a limited time. As a reward, there are crafting materials that you need for completion.
You should also participate in events whenever you can. These, along with the pit, are the best way to get Restless Oboli and can usually be easily completed on the side, such as in hellish floods.
