The start of Season 3 in Diablo 4 is just around the corner and is highly anticipated. At the same time, players are looking at what will be lost with a heavy heart.
When does Season 3 start? On Tuesday, January 23, 2024, the next season in Diablo 4 will begin. What you should do before the start of S3 has been prepared for you. The community is already excited about the next chapter, as there will be new content to experience.
But the current Season 2, which will end on January 23, has also gained many fans and friends. The content that players will miss is being discussed in online communities.
I will miss the vampiric powers so much
This is what the players say: On Reddit, players write about their feelings regarding the current state of Diablo 4. In his post, user CranberryDistinct941 writes that the end of the season makes him sad.
“I will miss the vampiric powers so much once the season ends,” writes the user. “Especially the [power] that deals damage equal to 80% of your maximum health. It was so much fun to run into groups of enemies and wipe them all out with a single base ability.”
The vampiric power made Season 2 particularly unique, strengthening your characters.
User Heatingmyharbl responds, “A handful of the most popular abilities will be turned into Uniques, like the Malignant Rings. I think what you mean is Hemomancy? I don’t think it will become a new Unique, but it could be!”
The user is referring to the rings that follow the mechanics from Season 1. Blizzard brought them back because many fans wished for the skills, but also stated that such a thing would not happen every season.
We directly spoke with the executives at BlizzCon about this and other topics:
Another user states: “I think losing the blood harvest zones will hurt much more than losing the vampiric powers.”
Another player explains: “You can access them at any world tier, use them to level your character, use them to level the powers for the seasonal theme, use them to get gear […]. I agree that it will be a great loss. Hopefully, the new theme will be just as fun/useful.”
In the comments, players mention many vampiric powers that they will miss in the new season.
From Diablo 3, we know that the seasonal themes were often well received and demanded by players as permanent content. Occasionally, whenever the gameplay experience did not suffer, such changes were then integrated into the main game.
It remains to be seen what special content Blizzard has in store for the upcoming season. Will you miss the vampiric powers and blood harvests, or are you more looking forward to the entirely new content?
