10:00 PM
There are apparently still queues when logging in and connection issues when you are logged in. Some colleagues can’t enter instances, but others are mostly running smoothly.
There’s been no further notification from Blizzard since the last tweet at 8 PM. We will end the ticker here and wish you lots of fun if you can log in, and otherwise a good night!
9:27 PM
After about an hour and a half, I was finally able to log into the game. That is likely the wait time now.
8:57 PM
You are currently probably looking at a full hour waiting for “Game Start Pending”.
Meanwhile, memes are piling up making fun of the fact that everyone wanted to stop:
8:45 PM
The login queue currently takes at least 48 minutes.
Some readers here on MeinMMO report that the servers are also quite unstable otherwise. Even if you can log in, you would be greeted by lags or wouldn’t be able to enter dungeons.
8:30 PM
Support has nothing new yet. Current wait time: at least 33 minutes.
Fans are meanwhile passing the time with memes. Highly rated: You all complain about Season 1 and want to boycott, so there surely won’t be any queues – right?
8:17 PM
The long login queues persist. Support from the USA reports the same. The server problems are therefore not only affecting Europe.
Current wait time: at least 20 minutes.
7:59 PM
After about 15 minutes since the restart, I was finally able to log in. The official Twitter account from Blizzard Support has already commented on it. The developers are working on a solution:
7:44 PM
A restart of the game doesn’t seem to help. The queues when logging in remain long.
7:35 PM
With the annoying reference “Game Start Pending”, the cycle is currently endless when you try to log in. Currently, it takes at least 10 minutes until you can actually play after selecting your character.
7:30 PM
Meanwhile, the login queues are becoming a bit more unpleasant. The character creation still goes relatively quickly, but when logging into the game, you currently wait 5 minutes or more.
7:25 PM
As soon as you log in and start in Kyovashad (if you skip the campaign), you will find the NPC Vyrtan on your left. Talk to him to start the season quests that lead you to the special mechanic.
Tip: Don’t forget to log in on your main before starting the season. That way you will get access to your reputation and the map.
7:20 PM
In addition to about a minute to enter character creation, there’s also a login queue to actually get into the game. This is currently taking about 3 minutes.
7:15 PM
Since I’m sitting here and checking the queue every few minutes instead of playing: at the moment it’s showing just under a minute, but it only takes a few seconds to log in. Apparently, the rush has calmed down again after a short time and the servers are holding up so far.
7:11 PM
After about 4 minutes of login time, we were able to access character selection on PC. If you’re confused by the many displays and notifications, here’s how to create a season character:
- create a new character
- customize it as you wish
- choose Hardcore/Softcore at the end and whether you want to skip the campaign
- after clicking on
Start Game
you will be asked whether you want to play on the eternal or seasonal realm - select the seasonal realm
7:05 PM
Right in time for the start, there are now also queues of about a minute (shown). Effectively, however, it’s actually a few minutes more. The time even increases while waiting. Let’s see how long the queues will become.
6:57 PM
In 3 minutes, the season starts, so far no login queues and the servers are holding up.
6:35 PM
Only 25 minutes to the start of the season, as Blizzard indicates in its own countdown in the launcher. We have yet to see any reports of queues. Is everything still stable for you?
6:10 PM
Just a little over an hour before the kick-off, Blizzard released another patch before the season. Included: a subtle but extremely important buff for everyone.
4:45 PM
So far, no problems with the servers have been detected. You can move through Sanctuary without lags and crashes for the time being. If you experience crashes or queues, please let us know in the comments.
4:31 PM
Good evening, demon slayers, we have a total of 2 hours and 30 minutes left until Season 1 starts.
Before the start, Blizzard has another maintenance ready for you, which shouldn’t hinder you from playing. Nevertheless, Blizzard warns of crashes and problems that might persist until 7:30 PM. We are also live and will keep you updated with our ticker.
If you are still unsure which class you want to play, feel free to consult our fortune wheel.
