In Diablo 4, you can equip potions to gain certain bonuses. And as soon as you complete the quest “A Pinch of Poison,” it is even possible to use two potions simultaneously and stack the bonuses.
What kind of quest is this? In Kehjistan, you will find the quest “A Pinch of Poison” near the waypoints “Gea Kul” on World Levels 3 and 4. With this quest, you unlock the recipe for the potion “Elixir of Antivenin,” which grants you the following bonuses for 30 minutes:
- increases your maximum life by 15%
- increases your poison resistance by 20%
- XP gain increased by 8%

How do I get the recipe? To obtain the recipe for the Elixir of Antivenin, you need to accept the quest from the NPC Baraim in Gea Kul. He will then send you to collect poison glands from scorpions in Kehjistan. A blue circle will appear on your map where you can find many scorpions.
Once you have collected 15 poison glands, return to Baraim. He will reward you with the recipe and a few potions. You activate the recipe by “using” it like other consumables. Then you can craft it at your trusted alchemist.
After completing the quest, you can also craft the elixir with any characters you create afterward. The side quest will be shown to you again starting from World Level 3, but you do not need to do it again.
How can I equip multiple potions? In Diablo 4, you can only equip one potion at a time. Once you use a new one, the old one is replaced – along with its bonuses. However, you can equip another potion alongside the Elixir of Antivenin, such as a basic elixir or one of the seasonal potions introduced in Season 4 “Fresh Loot”.
What does this do for me? With the Elixir of Antivenin, your life and poison resistance are increased. Additionally, you could use an elixir that increases your armor or critical hit chance. At the same time, the bonuses for XP gain are stacked. This means using two potions is especially worthwhile when leveling.
