Why is this so tragic? In hardcore mode of Diablo 4, characters suffer a permanent death if they fall in the lands of Sanctuary.
A deceased character cannot be resurrected – they are gone, along with their level and collected equipment. A new character must be created, starting from scratch.
What does Wudijo say about the loss of his character? The expert could not comprehend right after the incident how his character had died. He had already completed the event he was previously participating in.
Wudijo pondered what had killed him, as only a few small bats had been nearby. He checked the game and read: “Slain by Revenant.” Subsequently, Wudijo drew the sobering conclusion: “There must have been someone else who killed me.”
