In Diablo 4, it has been possible to craft Uber Uniques since patch 1.3.2. However, players have their doubts about the new system and believe that probably no one will use it.
- On February 1, Community Manager Adam Fletcher warned that one should keep their Uber Uniques at all costs – even if one does not “need” them.
- The patch notes for patch 1.3.2 provided the answer to what was specifically meant: The update introduced crafting for Uber Uniques in Diablo 4.
- With this, the developers want to integrate a new system that gives players more freedom regarding desired Uber Uniques.
Dismantling Uber Uniques now yields a new material for you, the “Magnificent Sparks.” After players and streamers have tested the crafting, it is apparently clear: You receive one spark for dismantling one Uber Unique.
This means you specifically need 5 “Magnificent Sparks” from 5 Uber Uniques and 50 million gold to craft an Uber Unique at the Alchemist in Diablo 4:

Why is it that no one will probably use the crafting system? In a post on X, Diablo expert Rob2628 stated on February 13 that he crafted his first Uber Unique with the new system and can confirm that you receive one “Magnificent Spark” for dismantling one Uber Unique.
He expresses that 5 sparks for an Uber Unique seems to be “a bit ridiculous” for most players, while 3 for 1 sounds more reasonable. It would be good “if normal Uniques could be converted into sparks with a small chance.”
While the drop rate of Uber Uniques outside of runs from the boss Duriel was increased with patch 1.3.2, the chance of finding one of the rare items is still “practically impossible,” Rob2628 wrote on February 14 on X.

How about being able to convert normal Uniques into something useful?
Proposal:
Convert normal Unique = 1 spark
Convert Uber Unique = 50 sparks
Craft Uber Unique = 200 sparksThe numbers can still be adjusted, but this way everyone would have a reasonable chance during a 3-month season, and it would also make double normal Uniques useful.

What do other players say? On Reddit, the user “magiksen” wrote in his post from February 13 that the crafting system only for Uber Uniques is bad. He also believes that a system “like 30 Uniques for 1 Uber Unique” would be more sensible.
One user responds: “I don’t think you should be able to craft Ubers from regular Uniques, but I think it’s a great idea to allow crafting of normal Uniques too […] so that you have access to certain builds earlier.”
An additional user states that most people will never even have one Uber drop, let alone use 5 for crafting. And “QualityKoalaCola” notes in the comment that he loves the idea of unique crafting outside of Ubers. “There’s nothing more disappointing than finding the 90,000th Frostbrand [unique gloves] that go straight into the trash.”
The comment with the most upvotes under the post comes from “CapriciousManchild”. He writes: “No, you can’t just get things for which you have to grind for hours every day to have a small chance because it’s a job and not a game!!!!!!”
Other players also compare the grind for the best loot in Diablo 4 to a full-time job. Anyone who wants more than just the better items has to invest real time, because: loot does not drop automatically in the best possible version and must also be thoroughly examined.
