A player has received a unique bow with nearly perfect stats in Diablo 4. However, it is useless to him because an alleged “bug” makes other weapons much stronger.
What kind of bow is it? On Reddit, user “Koud_biertje” shares his “Eaglehorn” bow. The special thing about it: The unique item has the best stats in almost all categories, except for the damage against elite enemies, which is missing a few percentage points to the maximum value.
Because it is a unique bow, it is relatively rare. Users calculated that the bow has only a chance of 1 in 175,616 to drop with these stats (source: gamesradar+). However, the user didn’t share his bow to brag, on the contrary: The bow is completely useless to him.

Why is the bow useless? The bow is useless because an alleged “bug” makes crossbows much stronger. In a comment on the post on Reddit, “Koud_biertje” writes: “I play a Penshot hunter, the crossbow deals five times more damage.”

In the comments below the post, various users claim that crossbows have been stronger in Diablo 4 for the 3rd consecutive season. This is apparently due to a bug that causes them to deal much more damage than they are supposed to.
“Switching from a melee attack to a ranged attack triggers it. Piercing/Slashing/Shadow Step/Whirlwind make the next core attack with a crossbow stronger,” writes “Koud_biertje” in a comment.
What does the community say about it? Some members of the community were not aware of the alleged bug. They are glad that they can now stop farming the bow. f1zo writes: “Amazing, now put it away and never use it again…”
Rhayve writes: “I think there really is no reason to use bows right now. But there’s a possibility that Blizzard will fix this in the midseason patch, making the ‘Eaglehorn’ relevant again at that point.”
Whether the alleged “bug” with the crossbows is even intentional remains unclear. Some builds seem so strong that they almost feel “wrong”. Since this season, Blizzard wants to intentionally leave OP builds as they are to not rob players of the joy once again.
