Blizzard plans the first major patch for Season 7 of Diablo 4. After some hotfixes, patch 2.1.1 is on the way, bringing more ravens, altars, and bounties into the season of witch power.
What feature is this about?
- Forgotten altars can be found randomly in dungeons during Season 7. Through them, you will learn four of the new witch powers that you cannot acquire otherwise.
- These powers are important for the strongest builds in Season 7.
- However, the altars are currently extremely rare. Fans have a few methods to access the altars faster, but there are reports from frequent players who have not found any at all.
This is what Blizzard is changing: In the patch notes for patch 2.1.1, Blizzard writes that the spawn rate of forgotten altars will be increased (via Blizzard). However, the exact increase is not specified.
Additionally, a bug is being fixed that caused forgotten altars not to appear in certain scenarios where they should have been present. Once again, Blizzard is not being specific.
Even if you were able to find altars, it can still happen that you do not learn the related witch power. This bug is also being fixed. Patch 2.1.1 will be released on Tuesday, February 4, 2025. You can find the complete German patch notes on page 2.
Blizzard is bringing more ravens and improving the armory
The new patch also improves some of the new features. Among other things, there will be more ravens in the headhunting zones. The ravens are considered one of the best features of Season 7 by players. In addition, there are two new bounties and the UI for tracking them will be improved.
Blizzard is also working on the armory, the new feature for everyone in Season 7. It should be more accessible in cities, will have a button for easily deleting loadouts, and the UI will receive some improvements.
In the community, the promised changes are mostly well received (via Reddit) – especially since Blizzard is already speaking in a separate post about fixing further existing problems.
Only the potion sound when picking up a witch power flower is still annoying and should disappear. Additionally, some bugs involving popular builds could still use some tweaking.
However, the changes to the ravens are particularly well received. Players are now urgently wishing for a blacksmith in the headhunting zones to be able to get rid of their loot faster. Because there’s plenty of that in Season 7: “So you’ll never be happy” – Many are currently complaining about too much loot in Diablo 4, casual finds it just right.
