Those who feel particularly devoted to Lilith from Diablo 4 can now worship her in a real cathedral of horror and must travel to a devilish place – France.
The stories from video games can sometimes be really compelling. And who wouldn’t want to give their soul to be fully devoted to Lilith from Diablo 4? For a few weeks, you can do that, as Blizzard has transformed a real cathedral and adorned it with a huge, hellish artwork.
What kind of artwork is it? Under the direction of the Art Director of Diablo 4, John Mueller, a giant artwork has been created that adorns the ceiling of an entire cathedral. The piece is a little over 220 square meters in size and depicts the journey of the hero from Diablo 4 and how it ultimately leads to the encounter with the demonic ruler Lilith.
The entire Diablo series is based on quite dark, gothic artworks, and the huge painting on the ceiling of the cathedral is in this style.

Diablo 4 uses a “desecrated” church for demonic purposes
What kind of church is this? If you are now wondering what pact Blizzard must have made with the devil to decorate a church with demonic artworks – no worries. The “Chapelle des Jésuites” in Kamerich (“Cambrai”) has long been deconsecrated and has therefore lost its religious utility. It has instead been used as a museum with various exhibitions for almost 70 years.
When can one view the artwork? Those who want to make the journey to see the artwork live can visit the cathedral in Kamerich between 2:00 PM and 7:00 PM until June 11, 2023. So if you’re going to be in France in the coming weeks, be sure to pay a little visit to the Chapelle des Jésuites to worship the one true ruler.
