4:25 PM
We were able to log in directly without any issues at the moment. Until 9 PM you still have the chance to play Diablo 4 in the beta.
4:25 PM
Today at 9 PM the Open Beta of Diablo 4 ends and apparently some still want to get on the servers. Currently, there may be short waiting times.
2:57 PM
There are still no waiting times. You have about 6 hours ahead of you. How will you spend this time?
I’m still feeling the defeats against Ashava… where others simply do it solo:
11:49 AM
You still have a few hours for the beta:
When does the Open Beta of Diablo 4 end and what happens next?
9:24 AM
Good morning on the last day of the Open Beta of Diablo 4 and your last chance to play the game before release!
Good news right from the start: there are currently no waiting times, and problems have apparently largely subsided. If you have the day off, you can mostly play undisturbed.
Sunday, 26.03.2023
7:27 PM
Even in the evening there are no waiting times, the servers are free, and even the problems seem to have decreased.
I will end the ticker here for today and wish you all good loot!
Remember, the beta runs until Monday at 9:00 PM.
3:56 PM
Are you busy farming? During the beta, the drop rates for Legendaries are significantly increased. But don’t get too accustomed to it:
If you find great loot in Diablo 4 right now, we have some bad news for you
2:14 PM
The login servers are still free; if at all, there are only short waiting times. Are you still playing, or have you seen everything you wanted to see?
The discussion about the appearance of Druids continues, but one player is extremely grateful for the appearance of the class:
Player breaks into tears because her character in Diablo 4 looks just like her: ‘Thank you’
12:06 PM
Ha, I finally did it! A working Druid build. Unfortunately without bear form, as originally planned, but as a wolf with its own pack. Here you can find my werewolf build for Druids, gameplay is right below:
9:15 AM
A hearty good morning on the Sunday of the Open Beta! If you want to play today, there are currently no waiting times, you can just log in and start.
At 9:00 AM, Ashava appeared for the last time for this test. Did you defeat the boss? What did the demoness drop for you?
Saturday, 25.03.2023
9:33 PM
The waiting times are still short. There are still occasional errors and disconnects; otherwise, the beta seems to be running well currently. I will end the ticker here and greet you again tomorrow, but leave you with a few things to peruse from today:
- Asmongold shows how ridiculously strong the Necromancer is in Diablo 4: ‘That’s disgusting’
- The best builds for each class with skill and gameplay
- Necromancer build needs only one button for massive damage and constant healing
- No sound in the Open Beta? Here’s what you can do
- Thousands of players are disappointed with the Druid in Diablo 4: too bulky and too weak
7:59 PM
The second round of Ashava on Saturday is starting.
6:00 PM
Ashava is here! Hurry up and secure your Legendaries.
3:38 PM
Waiting times are still extremely short. You are in the queue for about a minute. However, that should increase a bit soon because at 6 PM World Boss Ashava will appear. We have put together some builds for you to try:
2:48 PM
All day, Diablo 4 has been running smoothly; little waiting time and few problems. How are you finding the beta so far?
1:22 PM
Have you tried the Necromancer yet? Colleague Maik Schneider has found a really strong build that is even easy to play – with a catch:
12:28 PM
Are you having no sound in the beta? The problem is likely related to the German voiceover:
Diablo 4: No sound in the Open Beta? Here’s what you can do
11:41 AM
After I intentionally closed the game for testing and certainly did not accidentally close Diablo 4, I can (relieved) confirm: the login queues are still only around a minute.
11:04 AM
After the first evening, many players were able to get a picture of the Druid and are not particularly satisfied with it. I myself find him also quite weak. What do you think of the class?
Thousands of players are disappointed with the Druid in Diablo 4: too bulky and too weak
9:33 AM
In the morning there are waiting times, but rather short ones. During testing, we just needed a minute; there are no reports of longer waiting times.
Blizzard has announced that developers are working to fix various issues:
- Disconnects
- Errors with groups
- Network issues
Friday, 24.03.2023
10:09 PM
The waiting times are now getting longer again, up to 60 minutes. Crashes and connection problems are also possible. With luck, you might have a quiet evening, but if you get kicked out, you return to the waiting list.
We are closing the ticker for today. If you want to get a quick overview of the server situation, check the Twitter hashtag ‘DiabloIV’ and watch for posts with waiting times.
Wishing you a pleasant evening and short waiting times.
Ticker News
The error 316719 is plaguing many players. Reports indicate that the error occurs particularly at the beginning of Diablo 4 – during character creation, the first cinematics, or in the first few minutes of gameplay. Currently, there is no solution for the error other than a restart.
Here we have some reading tips for waiting time or if you want to inform yourself:
- Beta
- Builds
- Guides
- Stories
9:35 PM
The waiting times are now ‘tolerable’, at 15 to 20 minutes. But there are still occasional crashes and connection problems. Currently, you can only have a stable gaming experience with luck. If you’re willing to take the risk, then join in.
9:22 PM
The beta remains unstable. The waiting times have now decreased to 20 – 30 minutes, but there can be crashes and connection problems. Some can play all evening without issues, while others get kicked out.
8:57 PM
The waiting times are now significantly shorter when logging in, 30 to 50 minutes. However, it’s still unclear whether the situation has truly improved or if the waiting times are just being displayed more accurately.
There are still crashes and connection problems.
8:57 PM
There are now increasing reports of shorter waiting times; the situation seems to be calming down. However, it is still between 40 and 60 minutes.
8:42 PM
The waiting times are getting a little shorter again, but they are still around 140 minutes.
8:27 PM
The waiting time is currently at 160 minutes and it can quickly happen that you get kicked out of the game due to crashes or connection problems. Better try again later or tomorrow. We will keep an eye on the situation.
8:17 PM
The beta is currently not running smoothly. There are long waiting times of over 2 hours, many game crashes, and now also connection problems.
8:02 PM
Reports of long waiting times are not decreasing. Currently, expect 120 to 160 minutes. Additionally, the game can crash or there can be connection problems.
7:50 PM
Still long waiting times of over 2 hours and reports of game crashes, especially on PC. At least some Druids seem to be having fun:
7:35 PM
No improvement in sight; waiting times are even getting longer, up to 160 minutes. Currently, it looks like PC players are especially affected by crashes.
7:24 PM
Long waiting times persist, sometimes up to 140 minutes. Also, crashes can occur.
7:01 PM
Currently, there are long waiting times of 2 hours or more. Also, there are reports of crashes.
6:48 PM
The waiting times are still long, over 2 hours, and there can be errors.
6:34 PM
The waiting time is still going over 2 hours after logging in, and there are reports of game crashes, especially at the beginning of Diablo 4.
6:21 PM
Reports of long waiting times of over 2 hours continue. The game can crash even during the waiting queue.
6:08 PM
Following the increased game crashes, the waiting times are now also back on the rise. There are now reports of 120 minutes. There seems to be an issue on the developer side right now.
6:00 PM
It started off well, but there are now more reports of game crashes. This always means that you have to go back to the waiting queue. We are keeping an eye on it.
5:54 PM
The beta is running better than last week. The waiting times are usually at 60 minutes, but you get in much faster.
However, some technical problems are showing up, which we didn’t have last week. On PC, something is wrong with the voice output; even the option isn’t available in the settings.
What could also be positive: Colleague Benedict thinks that the world seems “even deader” because of this. Perhaps that might even please some fans.
5:41 PM
Many players start with a 60-minute waiting time, but then get into the game much earlier. I have created my Necromancer and am slicing through some monsters, but keeping an eye on the community to see if anything exciting is happening.
Here’s a little tip from the community:
Pay attention to the energy-saving feature on your consoles.
The start of the beta is running much better now than last week!
5:22 PM
The waiting time has now apparently settled at 60 minutes. However, it can also go faster; reports indicate that the displayed number of minutes hardly corresponds to the actual waiting time.
Currently, there are no major complaints about game crashes. A slight optimism is spreading among us that it will run better today than last Friday.
5:11 PM
Perhaps we have already endured the longest waiting times today. On Twitter, you see many pictures with around 60 minutes in the queue; actually, we were already at 90 minutes.
Colleague Benedict is now in the game, having only waited 20 instead of 64 minutes.
5:05 PM
Although the developers provided an update for more accurate waiting times, the displayed minutes seem to be only a rough estimate. Colleague Benedict had a 65-minute wait at 4:50 PM and is now at 17 minutes.
5:00 PM
The beta has officially started and is already standing at over 90 minutes of waiting time. If you don’t want to wait, check back regularly here in the ticker.
The developers explained that the waiting times often have to do with a problem on the server side. Once the problem is fixed, the waiting time will decrease. We are keeping an eye on the list in case there is a sudden reduction in waiting time.
4:53 PM
The information about the start spread alarmingly fast. Now the waiting time is already over 60 minutes.
4:50 PM
The servers are already available – the waiting time is only 12 minutes – log in quickly!
4:40 PM
Greetings esteemed readers, this is Maik from MeinMMO. I have taken over the live ticker from Benedict and will guide you through the server jungle at the start of the beta.
At 5 PM, the Open Beta starts, Blizzard has already warned of long waiting times.
3:42 PM
The Diablo head Rod Ferguson confirmed on Twitter that during the beta, significantly more Legendaries will be available. The loot rain at Ashava is likely only for testing.
You are meant to be able to test builds better. Colleague Maik Schneider introduces you to how to play the Barbarian best.
2:31 PM
Currently, there are no problems with Blizzard’s servers. If you still want to download the beta, you should do it soon. You have 85 GB to download if you want the full experience.
Some of the fastest players needed only 4 hours to reach level 25 in the beta. Are you going to rush tonight or take your time?
12:43 PM
We looked around a bit before the Open Beta and searched for the 3 best farm spots for Legendaries and more. Have you already thought of a build?
10:48 AM
Before the start, Blizzard warns that there will be waiting times: “We expect an unprecedented load and therefore anticipate waiting times. We appreciate your patience and understanding.”
10:28 AM
Hmm… maybe I should try hardcore this beta?
10:03 AM
Only 7 hours left… Do you have everything you need for the start and the weekend?
- Fridge filled with snacks and drinks?
- Favorite delivery service on speed dial?
- Best class for the beta selected?
- All drivers updated?
- Took the doorbell off the power to avoid annoying interruptions?
9:41 AM
Today, Druids are finally playable. First players have already found pictures of “endgame gear”:
9:30 AM
Don’t forget the updates! Just before the beta, Nvidia releases a new driver for graphics cards. In the last beta, players warned that Diablo 4 allegedly destroys graphics cards.
9:05 AM
A useful piece of info from a Reddit user: If you miss a Legendary in a dungeon, it will just be sent to your chest. Visit the stash in Kyovashad and pick up your loot.
Dungeons guarantee you certain legendary effects.
8:56 AM
A beautiful good morning on the day of the open beta of Diablo 4! I hope you are all well prepared because today at 5 PM it starts; here in the ticker, you’ll find all the current info live throughout the day.
Let us know which class you plan to start with later and what you are most looking forward to. Are you still getting the cute wolf cub?
On Friday, March 24 at 5:00 PM, the servers will go live. You can play on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. You can find here the most important information about the Open Beta in 2 minutes.
You can play until Monday, March 27, at 9:00 PM. However, the servers were already online for about 20 minutes longer during the first beta.
For the download, you need up to 85 GB of free space, depending on the platform. Preload has already begun.
The Open Beta is free for everyone; you do not need to pre-order Diablo 4. Simply download the beta via your platform’s store or Battle.net.
Unlike the first beta, this weekend all 5 classes from Diablo 4 are available, including the Necromancer and Druid. You can play Act 1 up to level 25 maximum.
MeinMMO accompanies the start of the Open Beta here in the live ticker. We start tomorrow morning and will keep you updated throughout the day with the current information on the start and new updates that arise throughout the day.
Those who play to level 20 in the beta will also receive a cute wolf pup as a transmog for the release on June 6.
In our hub, you can find all information about the Diablo 4 beta in detail. You can view our assessment of the first beta of Diablo 4 here:
Waiting times and errors are expected to improve
In the first beta there were problems and waiting times, which caused some players to be unable to log in at all. Even those who got into the game were repeatedly kicked out due to server issues.
Furthermore, some players reported that Diablo 4 allegedly caused their graphics cards to smoke. However, there is no official confirmation of this.
Whether there will also be problems during the Open Beta on March 24 is currently hard to estimate. At least the probability of waiting times is extremely high, as this time significantly more interested players can participate.
Blizzard has learned from the first test and has already planned a patch to address the major issues:
