Diablo 4 is preparing for a final beta test before its release – the Server Slam. With this test, players can once again travel through Sanctuary and catch a first glimpse of the new hack & slash. Additionally, there are gifts you can grab. All about the Server Slam can be found here.
What is a Server Slam? Blizzard itself has announced a Server Slam for Diablo 4 in a major interview. This is supposed to take place before the release and ensure that the servers are pushed to their limits. In line with this, a new trailer for the Server Slam has been released:
We will now list all the important information regarding the Server Slam and show you what you need to know.
Diablo 4: Everything about the Open Beta – Duration, Download and Rewards
When does the Server Slam begin? The last open beta will take place from May 12 at 9:00 PM until May 14 at 9:00 PM.
Can anyone participate? Every player, whether pre-order customer or tester, can participate in this final beta test of Diablo 4.
Is there a new download for the Server Slam? No, but there will be a preload today, May 10, at 9:00 PM. Players who have not downloaded the beta file yet may finally download it. Players who already possess this file must download an update.
How large is the download for the open beta? On the PS5, the download is 77.130 GB. The download sizes for other platforms may also be similarly large.
What rewards can be earned? Just like before the Server Slam, you can still earn the cute wolf bundles from the previous betas. To do this, you need to reach level 20.
In addition, there is a mount trophy named “Cry of Ashava”. To obtain this, you need to defeat the world boss Ashava with a “level 20” hero.
All rewards will be received when Diablo 4 celebrates its release. So be quick and take the chance, because once the beta is over, there will be no more opportunities to grab these items.
What should be noted? The Server Slam is set up by Blizzard to ensure that the servers collapse under the rush of players. Therefore, you should expect long wait times, delays, and bugs that may kick you out of the game.
Since we participated in both previous beta dates, we recommend that you log in on May 13 or, at the latest, on May 14, and do so during the early or late hours. This way, there will be short to no wait times for you, and you can enjoy the beta more relaxed.
Will you participate in the Server Slam or would you rather wait for the full release of Diablo 4? Let us know in the comments!
