What is the problem? Diablo is not known for its strong campaign but rather for its Seasons and the fun of grinding. Endless looting and leveling and slaughtering godless creatures.
While Diablo 2 and 3 have always followed the same path with their Seasons, especially new fans of the franchise wished that Blizzard would take a different, new approach. What you say on MeinMMO about the Seasons
Our author Benedict Grothaus reported a few days ago about the situation regarding the Season heroes. The topic was so exciting that many users expressed their opinions about it in the comments.
What are the users’ opinions? They are varied. Some condemn the Seasons and can’t make anything of them, while veterans had already expected the continuation of the existing system.

- Katsuno – “Somehow it was to be expected, but the marketing as an MMO made me hope for more consistency with the characters. So I played through the story once and am now waiting for S1, since I have the Ultimate anyway and want to play every class, that’s not a problem for now. After that, it will probably be quiet for a while, I somehow don’t like this system at all.”
- Phoesias – “No way, I am totally out of that.”
- Misterpanda – “[…] I have personally long accepted that Diablo 4 is a game with an end… like every other single-player game. Because that’s how I play it. Alone and without stress. But there are also players who are not surprised by the Season system for Diablo 4 and wonder about the community’s astonishment:

I also don’t get upset about Elden Ring or Dark Souls because they are a bit difficult. That’s the game principle. If I don’t like it, I shouldn’t have bought the game.” - Desten96 – “I don’t know if I’m playing a wrong Diablo, but wasn’t that always the point of the game or Seasons to make new characters and thus play different builds and classes?”
- Bonerpants – “I don’t understand the outrage, it has always been this way and will always be this way, it’s nothing new. Why do people want to change it now, just for people who don’t like it, but it has been communicated beforehand?”
When will Season 1 be released? A precise date is still unknown. The only known information is just an approximate release period, which is between mid and late July. It remains to be seen how Blizzard will shape the Seasons in the future. The team has shown with Diablo 4 that they quickly respond to player feedback.
