The leaderboards for Diablo 4 have now been officially introduced. MeinMMO summarizes the most important information for you.
What exactly are leaderboards?
- Leaderboards, which Diablo veterans probably still know as ladders, are the leaderboards of Diablo 4. Here you can find the best players of each class visible to everyone.
- The feature is closely associated with the new “Gauntlet”, a dungeon that changes every week. Here you can climb the leaderboard and even snag rewards.
- Until now, there were only unofficial leaderboards, such as for Zirs’ slaughterhouse, and we only knew that leaderboards were expected to come during season 3.
When will the leaderboards be released? According to the official website, the trials and thus the leaderboards will start on March 5, 2024.
A specific time and patch notes are not available yet, but they are likely to follow in the coming days. We assume 7 PM German time, which has always been around the time that patches go live.
The leaderboards will appear with patch 1.3.3, for which we have already provided the patch notes.

Leaderboards for each class solo, duos, trios, and squads
How do leaderboards work? To appear on the leaderboards, you need to complete the “Gauntlet”. The dungeon changes every week but is identical for the week in terms of monsters, spawns, and affixes. Everyone has the same dungeon.
You can enter the trial dungeon as soon as you have unlocked world level 4. The enemies in the trial are all over level 100, so it is beneficial if you are at a higher level yourself. The entrance is located in the harbor of Gea Kul, there in the southwest. Blow the horn to gain access.
In the trial, you earn evidence of power
for killing monsters and opening chests. The more of this evidence you can gather within 8 minutes, the higher your points will be in the end. A death costs you a third of the points – hardcore deaths are permanent.
The leaderboards themselves are divided into different categories:
- Each class has its own leaderboard, where it competes only against players of other classes. These apply only to solo players.
- Groups of 2, 3, and 4 players each have their own leaderboards.
- Softcore and Hardcore each have their own leaderboards.
- Challenges end every Tuesday at 5:00 PM German time, the next challenge starts at 7:15 PM.
This means that class balance is largely irrelevant, as you only compete against other players of the same class or in teams. However, since the dungeon changes weekly, it is likely that a different build will be at the top each week. You can find the best builds in our tier list for Diablo 4 season 3.
Rewards for leaderboards: Loot, cosmetics, and honor
What rewards do I get? Mainly, it’s about showing off your skill on the leaderboards. Accordingly, there are cosmetic rewards. If you are among the top 100 players on a list, you will receive a mount trophy. The top 10 players will even be permanently immortalized with their character in the Hall of Ancients.
Is there also loot? Yes, you will receive loot both after each dungeon run and after each challenge week. Loot is only available after completing the dungeon, not in between, just like with the Greater Rifts from Diablo 3, and depends on the seal
you earn.
Seals indicate how well your run was and how many points you were able to gather. In ascending order, you have:
- the seal of the bloody
- the seal of the steadfast
- the seal of the iron will
- and the seal of the worthy
The weekly reward chest grants you a guaranteed legacy legendary. If you reach the highest rank, this is even guaranteed to be at level 925. The reward scales with the obtained seal.
