What do the reviews look like after one day? One day after release, Diablo 4 has 630 reviews on Steam marked as “Mixed”. 51% of players recommend the game, while 49% have given a negative review (as of: October 18, 2023, 18:15).
Among the first 20 reviews in German and English shown by Steam as the “most helpful,” there is only one positive rating so far.
Players are mainly complaining about difficulties loading the game, linking with the Battle.net account, or expressing their general frustration about the monetization in Diablo 4. We have compiled some statements for you here:

Some mention in their reviews that they have requested a refund. There is an impression that some players only purchased Diablo 4 to write a negative review and quickly got their money back afterward.
Among the positive reviewers, you find more who have already spent a few hours in Diablo 4 on Steam. They praise how well the game runs on the Steam Deck.
Overall, the Steam release of Diablo 4 has been somewhat bumpy so far, but at least better than that of Overwatch 2:
