With the release of Diablo 4, a large statue of the main antagonist Lilith became available in the official Blizzard shop – for a hefty price. A fan still decided to purchase the statue, sparking a large discussion. MeinMMO editor Benedict Grothaus realized he also has this item, still in its box.
What kind of statue is this?
- The statue depicts Lilith, the creator of Sanctuary and the mother of all humans in Diablo, as well as the main adversary in Diablo 4, holding the skull of the big boss Diablo – even though Diablo doesn’t actually appear in the game.

- Just before the release of Diablo 4, Blizzard offered the Lilith statue in the Gear Store and it was sold out shortly thereafter. Since then, it can only be found at other retailers.
That’s why it has no space: The statue has been safely stored in its packaging and even in the shipping box in my one-room apartment for over a year now, as the box provides additional cushioning protection. It is simply too large for my apartment.
The Lilith statue measures 62 cm in height and 42 cm in width. Given those dimensions, I cannot simply place it on the windowsill or my desk. It requires a specific place.
Furthermore, the item is now sold out in many shops, and where it is still available, it costs around 700 euros plus shipping and possibly import fees (via fragstore) – I had a discount back then. One wants to protect such an investment, so ideally it needs a display case, for which I have even less space.
A little anecdote about this: I saw the statue live at the gamescom in 2022 at a merch stand of fragstore and wanted to buy it right away. However, since I would have had to transport it across Germany by train, I ultimately had it delivered instead.
On Reddit, a user has a more or less similar issue. He acquired a statue of the mother of Sanctuary and is now unsure if that was a good idea. The community has a fairly clear opinion on this.
Lilith has also attracted some followers in real life upon release:
“The game is what it is – but the art and story are excellent”
The thread creator simply asks whether the statue was a misbuy or a good decision. The community’s response is rather simple and goes along the lines of: “If you like it, that’s good. If not, it was foolish.”
However, there are also several fans who either have such a statue at home or are now a bit envious. Some missed out on offers back then that would have saved them 25%.
A special focus in the discussion, however, is on the lore behind Lilith. The daughter of Hatred is not just a pretty intense demon, but also one of the best characters in the entire series:

Even if one may dislike the game for some reason, the style and story are excellent. Only Lilith’s ending is a bit disappointing; players hope that it might continue further.
This isn’t far-fetched, as the expansion Vessel of Hatred revolves around Lilith’s father Mephisto. The add-on is set to be released in October and continues the story of the game, after Lilith meets her end at the hands of the players and Mephisto’s soulstone is stolen.
