Do you already know which class you will start with in Diablo 4? Let us know!
The year 2022 is slowly coming to an end and we are heading towards 2023, the release year of Diablo 4. New information about Blizzard’s upcoming A-RPG is constantly coming in, and now the 5 classes are also known that you will use to take down demons in Sanctuary at release.
These classes are already familiar to fans of the Diablo series from earlier games, some of them are even considered fan favorites, without which a Diablo game would be incomplete.
As is customary with Blizzard, the classes are introduced in stylish trailers:
The three classes Barbarian, Sorceress, and Druid were first introduced at Blizzcon 2019 and therefore received a joint trailer. In it, fans got their first look at the gameplay they could look forward to in the (at that time still very distant) future.
The classes demonstrate their abilities, including the iconic elemental magic of the Sorceress, the shapeshifting of the Druid, and the powerful melee attacks of the Barbarian.
Next, the Hunter (in English: Rogue) was introduced and her backstory hinted at. This extremely mobile class is a “classic” and was already present in the first Diablo game. She uses a bow and daggers to take out her opponents.
The trailer shows gameplay in which she can either create a rain of arrows or zip from one enemy to another in melee, dismantling them with her daggers. Her poisons and traps are also impressive.
Finally, the Necromancer was revealed, likely the most popular class in Diablo. Before the announcement, it was by far the most wished-for class by the community on our sister site GameStar.
The dark magic of the Necromancers gives them control over life and (un)death. The corpses that their opponents leave behind in battle serve as a resource from which they can recruit skeletons for their undead army. The Necromancers can also weaken their opponents with blood magic and strengthen themselves.

Since there are no open beta tests for Diablo 4 yet, very few fans have been able to form their own impression of the gameplay of the classes so far. Nevertheless, we want to know from you whether you have already decided on a specific class. Which one has you liked the most so far and why?
