The leaderboards have just arrived in Diablo 4 and an expert has developed a route during several runs live on Twitch that is supposed to be the most efficient. You can find out more about it here on MeinMMO.
The leaderboards were introduced with patch 1.3.3 in Diablo 4 and represent the rankings in the game. In a “Gauntlet,” you can compete against other players in a weekly changing dungeon.
Your goal is to collect as many points as possible within the 8-minute runs. The layout of the dungeon remains the same, as do the positions of the monsters, pillars, and chests. Therefore, your strategy is crucial to farming as many points as possible.
The Diablo expert wudijo is part of the team that creates build guides for maxroll.gg. On March 5, he developed a route for the Gauntlet dungeon live in his stream on Twitch after he undertook several runs with different classes.
The left side of the dungeon is the best
What route does he recommend? In his Twitch stream, wudijo draws a route on the map of the dungeon that consists of several lines. The point where his planning begins can be found at 09:40:52 (Timestamp of the Twitch stream). The five lines represent several parts of the route, all ending with the activation of a pillar.
After starting the dungeon, you kill the first boss and then keep to the right, where you encounter elite enemies and monsters that drop chest keys. At the second fork, you open a large chest.
On the way back to the center of the dungeon, you fight against elite mobs and then head to the left side of the map, where more elite enemies and pillars await you that provide a point multiplier and spawn additional monsters.
You follow the outer edge of the left side to the first pillar, which concludes that part of the route. Afterwards, you return to the first boss and go through the left area again. You end up again at a pillar that grants you bonuses.
Parts three and four of the route also go through the left area. In the fifth part, you run again through the left area, then return to the first boss and head to the right area of the map, where you can open more chests.
“I believe I wasted a lot of time on the right side”
What do other players say? The expert Rob2628, known for his OP builds, recommends in his YouTube video to primarily stay on the left and only go to the right side of the dungeon at the end. He discusses this in his English video at minute 09:04.
He notes that he has wasted too much time on the right side and explains that he would make several runs on the left side and activate pillars alternately. Finally, he would open several chests on the right side with the keys:
Depending on how well you navigate through the dungeon, it is advisable to stay mainly on the left side because that’s where most elite mobs, bosses, and pillars are located in a tighter space. In addition to the leaderboards and trials, patch 1.3.3 has also brought back six vampiric powers from Season 2 in Diablo 4. The impact they will have on the classes, individual builds, and strategies in the Gauntlet remains to be seen.
